What would each of the characters of Inception wear as their Halloween costumes, you ask? That's EXACTLY what I was wondering in advance of Inception-Trick-Or-Treat!
Jinx! You owe me a Coke!
So here's some crack-y halloween nonsense I came up with for each of the characters:
Yusuf:
would definitely dress as Mr. Rogers. He loves his layers, and he knows that Halloween isn't a time for uncomfortable costumes. He enjoys rocking a handmade zip-up sweater, and some good sneakers.
Ariadne:
rented one of those inflatable dinosaur costumes that makes her 7 feet tall. As the evening goes on, the costume makes the rounds. Yusuf has a giggling fit when he puts on the dinosaur suit, then puts his cardigan on over the suit.
Mal & Cobb:
They don't do a couples costume every year, but for this halloween party, Mal chose a Great Gatsby theme. Like every year, she did all the work, and Cobb showed up looking dapper and taking the credit.
Arthur:
in true Point Man fashion, is accustomed to running the entire show, so he goes as a circus ringmaster.
His top hat: jaunty.
His faux mustache: expertly curled and waxed.
His trousers: tailored to within an inch of their life.
His whip: distracting.
Eames:
arrives decked out in 80's clothes, an outrageous wig, and some killer eye make-up. It isn't until he puts on the lizard mask and starts crooning Boy George that anyone realizes he's supposed to a be a Karma Chameleon.
Robert:
is devastatingly striking in his devil costume. Seriously, just picture Cillian Murphy's eyes and cheekbones and a devil costume. Yup.
Saito:
looks powerful and put-together in his usual bespoke suit, but he has some seriously professional-level gory zombie face makeup.
Philippa:
couldn't decide whether to be a ballerina or a skeleton, so opted to go for both. She was very disappointed that the ballerina slippers for the costume didn’t give her the automatic ability to stand on her tippy-toes.
James:
loves his Ironman costume, even though it's at least two sizes too big. (Dom was in charge of ordering it).
Nash:
has a great go-to costume for years when he can't come up with any other idea: a hitchhiker from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Basically, he just brings a towel. And Arthur gives him shit for not having a real costume.
