If there was one thing Kay hated, it was the “Damsel in Distress” trope. She never wanted to seem helpless, and combined with her curse of being so stubborn, she often took her problems into her own hands. The outcomes of such troubles ranged with how much she suffered while settling her problems in the way that she did.

Sometimes the suffering was self brought. Most often she’d drink away the memories of her old prewar life that seem to flood back and cause her heart to ache. She had lost so much, but she still couldn’t bring herself to stop facing the Wasteland with every ounce of fight she had left. 

She was far from letting herself be done, even with the all the pain that sought her out like a pack of wolves to a wounded prey. 

“… Maybe that’s because tragedy seems to follow me.”

Holly would likely take a quick shine to Cindy, especially upon realizing they aren’t the only human in the Underground! Not because they don’t like monsters, but moreso after realizing all that humans had done to monsters and how much monsters seemed to detest humanity, Holly would be putting a lot of that blame on themself. Having another human around, especially one as kind and creative as Cindy, would remind Holly that not all humans are bad, and thusly they aren’t bad in turn. Its a relief for the kid.

Being a little doodler themself, they’d definitely want to partake in art sessions with Cindy whenever they could!

“Let’s go to Freeside,” the girls had said. “It’ll be fun,” they’d said. And, to be fair, it had been fun, popping their heads into the Wrangler, chatting with the Followers, even flirting with a few of the Kings. But now it’s getting late, and Alex knows she’s due back at The Aces. Except none of the girls want to leave, it’s their night off from running the tables and they’re going to enjoy it. Which leaves Alex walking alone. Through Freeside. When it’s getting dark.

Alex hears the footsteps behind her and turns, hands in front of her to show she’s unarmed. Which, on second thought, is probably not smart. “Hey, I... I don’t want any trouble...” They’re smack bang in the middle of the street, too far from both the Kings and the Securitrons to count on their help. “I’m just going b- back to the Strip, okay?”

Humans were, typically, not of Pearl’s interest. In the very least, they weren’t something overly memorable to Pearl in comparison to another gem. 

This one, however, piqued her interest when she’d approached. While Pearl was observant, she didn’t seem to click together why this person seemed... different. In a room with different lighting, perhaps, it would have been an immediately recognizable trait.
