IncorrectQuotes: To sum it up, my old @incorrectquotesideas blog was deleted by staff and I got no answer when I contacted them about it several times; I was so upset (and still am; I had gathered over 2000 incorrect quotes and was just about to reach 10000 followers) that I gave up on gathering quotes altogether for a while. Now I’m back!

i started this blog to collect lighthearted funny quotes (mostly with a punchline) for people to use as incorrects on their own fandom blogs. but that was then, back when incorrect quotes were popular (it was a fever when i made the first version of this blog, almost 10 years ago) and i had a pretty big — and always growing — follower base. now that i have a way less popular, more intimate blog, i’ve been posting quotes that cater to my interests more than those of the “general public” for a while now. and i do LOVE angst in pretty much every form of media i consume, so why not make incorrects with it? i’ll start watching out for good angsty quotes to post in the future ;)

so, now that i’ve rambled enough, a message to everyone: feel free to submit any quote that you enjoy, not just the ones with a punchline; funny, angsty, cutesy, all of the above, anything counts — as long as you don’t forget the source!!! oh, and a reminder: if you hear or take part in a conversation that you think would make a good incorrect, you can still submit it here, just let me know and i’ll tag “source: submitter” — just like i've been posting brief convos i've had or heard irl under the tag "source: me" since i started all of this!

(c’mon, i know there are angsty little convos between your blorbos that you’d like to share, or angsty quotes you’ve heard somewhere that reminded you of them… drop a submission and let others use the quotes for their blorbos like tumblr users playing with j.pegs!)

disclaimers:

- as much as i love running this blog (it’s therapeutic to me, i don’t know), i do have a life outside of it and since i try to avoid posting quotes with unknown sources, if you don’t let me know the source somehow, i probably won’t go out of my way to try and find out, so it’s likely not going to get posted.

- i tend to prioritize not only the oldest submissions, but also the ones with two or more characters, the ones that were really popular back in the day (see: the “classic quotes” tag) and sometimes the ones that i just inexplicably love for some reason.

- there is a queue. if you’re upset that i haven’t posted your quote yet (and you sourced it), it’s probably just queued! “but i submitted a number of different quotes on the same day and only one or two have been posted so far!” it’s likely that you submitted quotes from the same source, and i try to not post more than two quotes from the same source on a row, so i probably spaced them out with quotes from different sources between them as i queued the content i had. don’t worry, they’ll show up!

of course! i’ve queued some quotes that i got from the ghost of my old blog on the wayback machine, but definitely still less than 10% of them. i need all the help i can get!
