I first heard of Benjamen Walker about a year and a half ago. I can't quite remember how I cam across him, but it doesn't really matter. All i know is I was searching for great podcasts to listen to and Benjamen Walker's Too Much Information fit the bill. A weekly hour long show on public radio station WFMU, it was informative, funny and just downright interesting. The show was a mix of monologues, interviews, radio documentaries, and phone calls with a recurring cast of characters. Each episode focused on a theme, but the theme usually wasn't apparent till all the pieces were put together. It was lyrical and amazing to listen to. Now, Walker has moved on and started a new shorter program made as a straight to the internet podcast. This allows Walker to be even more independent and play to his own whims and strengths. In many ways Theory of Everything is the same show as Too Much Information, but in many ways it's better. By shortening the run-time of each episode it allows Walker to focus on quality more than quantity and it shows. His recent show about the psychology behind various forms of queues is a great example of that quality. Check it out below. You'll be glad you did.
