There are days when it takes a lot of effort to make it out of bed. To take a breath and tell yourself you’ll make it through the day. When all you want to do is somehow pause life, just to take a second to pull yourself back together but you can’t afford to. And you have to just keep going, hoping you make it to through to the next minute, next hour, next day.
But you’ll make it through. You’ll reach the greener side of the grass, and one day, you’ll wake up, maybe excited for your day. Maybe smiling in the warm embrace of your lover. Maybe you’ll roll off the bed onto the floor and wake up giggling. And you’ll feel it, in those first few seconds, when you’re just opening your eyes, and your brain has barely processed your surroundings, you’ll feel it is the pits of your stomach, and across your fingertips, and shivering down your spine.
