idk man i saw this post about whether being an engineer at an oil and gas company is a bad thing to do for the money for awhile and a lot of the comments were like its not his fault corporations are responsible for climate change and he was just being exploited as a worker
and fuck the citizens united decision but do we understand that people who work at corporations are how corporations work? like an engineer at shell making $150k a year is not the same as a minimum wage employee in an amazon warehouse, this is not an ~exploited worker~ situation ppl simply do have to like, refuse to work at shell if we want to fix climate change
let’s not flatten this to like well like let’s not blame ourselves for using a plastic straw or HELPING FOSSIL FUEL COMPANIES EXTRACT THE FOSSIL FUELS FROM THE EARTH MORE EFFICIENTLY it simply is your fault if you do that! let’s try not to be cogs in bad machines!
