“A reincarnation between Ajna(the world's savior) and Kala(the Goddess of Life and Rebirth). Shiva works as the new chief in Ashwat Village to protect herself and her home away from big threats. Threats like the Neo-Ravannavar army. She also has been keeping an eye on Dhar for a long while.”
On playing through Indivisible I was really taken by the beautiful animations and superb character design. I loved the variations that the main antagonist, Kala, was depicted as, and I felt that powerful presence and commanding influence would look wonderful with Abbey Bominable's strong jawline and sharp claws.
Her hair would definitely need to be rerooted, probably with synthetic fibres over wool to get the length right. I'd also need to use milliput clay to make her 'clothes' as close-fitting as possible, as well as to make her elongated ear lobes.
I'm unsure if I would create her horned mask and rainbow details so I'll likely focus my attentions on creating her 'inner' humanoid form.
She was such a fun and satisfying make, more thoughts under the cut!
I've enjoyed Indivisible for a long time now and I enjoyed Kala's progression, not to mention how interesting her designs were, varying from monstrous to otherworldly as well as beautiful yet terrible at the same time.
If I could redo her I may have tried to add more lined detail on her 'clothes' instead of painting them on later, just for extra dimension. I may consider the fibres I used for her hair as the nylon I picked doesn't curl as much as I'd initially liked. I'm still happy with how her hair turned out but it would have been nice.
I'm pleased that I chose to give milliput a go again as the two bit clay can be quite intimidating, especially if you get the ratio of clay wrong. I'm happy with the choice of hair too as full reroots can be daunting with the amount of work that goes into them, investing in a proper rerooting tool was definitely worth it as well.
In the future I may attempt creating her mask and more 'goddess' attributes like her cloak or even her rainbow tendrils to form a proper base for her.
The sculpting and painting of Kala went pretty well, though her body definitely needed repainting fully after using the milliput as I'd left fingerprints all over it and don't currently have access to sandpaper to clear it up.
Her boobs are a bit clunky but not too bad considering how tricky clay can be to work with. A lot of the references I found of Kala could be a bit inconsistent so I just went with the design I preferred most.
Kala's reroot went really well, I had to add a few more plugs to give her a widow's peak and I ran out of hair towards the end so she has some black hidden in the depths. I'm hesitant to trim it too much as it's just so luscious and lovely and nice to touch!
Now that I've rooted her fully it really makes her skin look paler than before. Even if I hadn't needed a repaint I may have been considering one now as she's much paler than how she's depicted in game.
I found a real fixer-upper Abbey second hand that had clearly come onto contact with a slime of sorts, which was gross but not too hard to clean off. However it must have been that contact that caused the factory paint to leech into the vinyl of the head and stain it.
It's not a huge issue as I needed to repaint her anyway to match Kala's skin tone, but it's certainly something to keep in mind for future projects and storage.
