Both!! There wouldn't be a relationship if Ling wasn't Greed's host, so honestly I view the guy and the ship as very very related concepts. Ling (literally) always being in Greed's ear has an obvious effect on his behavior and personality that I love. He's more emotionally unstable and a little less cocky maybe (that survivor's guilt man). I think the major difference of being forced to share and work as a team 24/7 changed him for the better but good lord were there growing pains we only saw 10% of...

Honestly to me it’s funny how you put Greedling as Very Functioning bc… they’re an absolute trainwreck. Sure they get along just fine but they uhhh have some very different values which get in the way sometimes. Or when I’m writing them, at least. Maybe that’s not why but Greedling is a ✨Disaster Gay✨ imo

Ahh well it’s very important to keep in mind that that scale is Heavily skewed by everyone else on it being Way more of a train wreck than greedling could ever hope to be hahaha - as far as hosts go ling is a Major outlier in that he accepted his head roommate with completely open arms and a manic goal, meanwhile Eddie and Arthur are just along for the fucking ride whether they want it or not (and are also just like, the most emotionally unstable guys in their respective realities lma o - Eddie and venom rank higher purely because they tend to have less absolutely vitriolic shitfights than Arthur and John, who manage to set a new relationship high and low every other episode it feels like)

The only reason Kayn ranks lower than them is because in terms of bodysharing setups rhaast has the least actual influence so all their nonsense is purely just kayn being nuts
