If we get one she’s probably the one that comes closest. After all Finn and Han did dump her down a trash compactor and she’s apparently confirmed for Episode VIII.

Still, I’d say that a trash compactor is more survivable than being eaten by a saarlac or being cut in half. Luke, Han and Leia got out of one and they didn’t even work there, unlike Phasma who I could see have the door access codes and stuff.

Wait, you know what. I just thought of something. If we by the Fett/Maul mean “someone who survives an impossible fate simply because of (supposed) fan demand” Kylo is a better candidate.

No really. He’s left badly injured and unable to stand right next to a widening gap on a decaying planet, with help no where in sight.

Tell me how Hux was supposed to find him? Yes I know the novel tells us, but the novelizations are always only halfway canonical, so really? And we don’t actually see him survive, people just assume he does.

So that’s my answer. The Fett/Maul of the Sequels is Crayon L’Oreal.

Yeah. Like the only one of the Light side men that has anything in his tag is about him is Cassian Andor and most of those posts are complaints about him not being Kes Dameron. Not a single one of the of the others do as of this moment, which is May 18th 2016 in case this post suddenly gets attention on a later date.

But yes, color me ‘not surprised in the least’.

Posting of Part 6 of Fulcra is postponed until tomorrow. I think I’ve fixed the parts that didn’t work, but I want to sleep on it.

It’s somewhat by popular request actually.

Their relationship was always meant to be important, but given the significant positive response - and not just from you two - I had to that one scene, I’ve been looking for places where I could incorporate interactions between them.

I just thought that was the same hand, but the synth-skin had been lost. I have this idea that it was ripped out or maybe even melted in some dramatic event and Luke never bothered to replace it.

Well I’d say the synth skin wore down over the decades. And upon realising that the hand maintained its function without the skin (and also gifted Luke a serious badass image) he didn’t bother to maintain the skin.

These makes as much sense as any I’ve heard.

But it sort of leaves me wondering how Luke feels about it when he looks at it, considering how his father ended up more machine than man at the end. Maybe he keep it uncovered as a reminder of the path Anakin headed down and not to make the same mistakes he did or...?

Wow, I hadn't even considered the possibility of Felicity Jones's character in Rogue One being Shara before you mentioned it. You're totally right, though, I'd love to see her (and Kes!) in the movie, but not if she's going to be whitewashed. Any idea who'd be good choices to play them? I'm terrible at fancasting.

It didn’t occur to me either until I saw someone in the Poe Dameron tag go on about how they hoped that Felicity Jones was Shara and I just went, “erm, how about... no!”

I am terrible at fancasting because I can never remember the names of actors unless I really, really like them. Mostly when I go on about someone it’s “well, they were in that movie where they played [insert part here]”. I genuinely suck at remembering names in general, so it’s not just actors. It’s frankly embarrassing.

But I did see this fancast of Shara and Kes - Dascha Polanco and Antonio Muñoz - some days ago and yeah, I like that one.

There’s also this one - Pedro Pascal and Gina Rodriguez - but I like the first one more.

And since you were asking I did a quick Google to see what else was out there and found this one - Stephanie Beatriz and Jon Huertas -which I quite like too.

Well, I wasn’t really sure what kind of vibe I was aiming for - if I had been maybe I would have been able to think of something myself, but all I had for his mother was a vague idea of what she looked like and hot really anything more than that

I suppose it was mostly a human sounding name, that is something from Earth, or Earth like, though not necessarily English.

Oh, like all of these a lot.

Though I have to admit I had an instinctive ‘yes!’ to Mayim, but that might be down to my personal investment in Mara Jade and there is a phonetic similarity that might have a subconscious influence.

I’m still working on Finn’s mom (I’ll have to settle on calling her that for now) and her background, and I’ll probably make some scatter brain post about my thoughts so far later.
