If impulse and indulge were to meet would there be a way to tell them apart? Would he just, take impulses place and put him with limbo and Daz?
How would the hermits react to the notion that was never impulse? And the reaction to their impulse?
Well that first question is a pure hypothetical since Indulge has no desire to ever meet Impulse or take his place. There is definitely a way to tell them apart, aka, Indulge's eyes. They're almost always consistent of some pink, Impulse's, meanwhile, are brown and yellow. In their less human forms they're easier to tell apart, as Impulse doesn't have dragon horns. If there were a need to then yes Indulge would totally send Impulse back to Hels to suffer with Daz n Limbo. At least Daz anyways, Limbo has his own projects that don't consist of torturing an innocent even if he looks like Limbo's abuser.
Hmm, if any of the Hermits caught on immediately it'd be Tango n Zed 100%. The others though, it may be a little longer until they realize. If they found out Impulse was replaced they'd probably feel awful for never noticing and worried because "where the heck is the real Impulse?????"
Meanwhile I can guarantee Zed and Tango are tryna figure out how Indulge got to HC because finding out how he got here means they can figure out where Impulse is.

The bandages on his hands hide pretty nasty holes/scars from where he got stabbed in the palms by Helskizz when they were younger
His dragon bits actually used to be gold and yellow, almost angellic, until he died the first time. Upon revival, they became purple and black, and they've been that way ever since
He's died like. A lot. Like a LOT a lot. But he kept being revived over n over
When he was still in captivity (aka. Being hunted down for sport by Helskizz on television) he'd had his dragon breath taken from him. He has it back now, though, but like he hadn't had it for decades
Before he got his current outfit, Indulge wore a little black reaper cloak, like Grimdog (and also like Putrid used to). He was basically in debt to Zedeath, who had revived him after "Stalked & Scared" ended and the Stalkers abandoned Helskizz
It was during his time in debt that he'd found Limbo, who he secretly took in and saw as a son. Yea the. What happens later is uh. Well the terms they left on were uh. Bad.
He used to trim the grey out of his hair, since it just reminded him of the fact he was technically undead and shouldn't even be alive.
He's honestly one of the Helsmits that looks the most similar to their Prime counterpart. Meta reason for this was originally he could shapeshift to appear almost identical to Impulse, but as the lore developed I realized most the Helsmits wouldn't even know Hermitcraft existed, so that idea kinda became one I only really use in AUs.
Time for some Helsmits!! It’s been a while since I did anything related to these guys, so, let’s talk about them.
First two doodles are actually from Hels Double Life. Koray and Minnow get soulbound, and Indulge and Limbo get soulbound. Not shown is Logos and Sidas being soulbound too.

Sorry for not posting anything for a few days, been working on some Helsian references to post in one go, and idk if I’m gon make another one right away so. So, there is a lot I need to talk about with these guys, well, most of them, so I am going to put my innate ramblings under a read more. But if you want basic knowledge I’ll give you names and who they’re counterparts of :D

So before anybody asks me no I did not name my Hels Mumbo after @/sweetest-honeybee did hers. Clap Trap was always his name and I decided to combine him with Yellow Tie Mumbo(aka Eebo Jeebo) because having two Hels Mumbos doesn’t have any sense. Now with that out of the way I am going to drop long paragraphs of information about these guys, save for Clap and Helskall, as I have yet to develop them properly. Big big big thanks and much love to @micer2012 for helping me develop Daz, Indulge, and Limbo recently!! It’s helped me a ton. Lova you Della :D
(side note: I am not putting all the information on these guys in this because I am going to be opening asks about them)
Koray: A runaway Stalker known as the Godslayer, Koray has a chaotic tendency to destroy. He was going to be “fixed” by the control freaks that are the Stalkers, but he killed a few of them and fled, having had half his face scarred with celestial wax, something that could never come off. He’s a walking contradiction. He hates himself, but he’s also arrogant and egotistical. He believes he’s the best at building, but he will destroy his own base hundreds of times until it’s perfect. He acts like he doesn’t care, but his attachments are one of his biggest flaws.
Phedaz: One wouldn’t be seen as ignorant in thinking Daz is Zedaph’s Hels counterpart. Even if that is far from the truth. He is cold, calculating, and meticulous, taking hours at a time to think over complicated decisions. He is always seen side by side with Indulge, his partner in crime, and if they’re ever separated it isn’t of their own will. Despite how cold he is towards anybody else, Daz is capable of feeling emotions. Only Indulge knows this though, and that’s the way it’s gonna stay.
IndulgeVS: One of the biggest hypocrites the Helsmits have to offer, Indulge has a hard time trusting people and has massive amounts of unresolved trauma. Being plucked from his home as a kid was already bad enough, but being hunted for sport every day for a decade does things to a person. Especially when said hunting killed him. Luckily he was found by Zedeath and was brought back to life, only to be in debt to the Death spirit.
Limbo Lag: Limbo, by all accounts, is still a child. He was rescued from nearly dying by Indulge, even nursed back to health and taken care of. He was given Bluestone eyes since his eyes were both injured and not adjusting to the light of Hels. He trusted Indulge with his life for so long…then he was hurt. And for so long even when Indulge hurt him he’d crawl back to him for safety, it’s what he’d been taught by the dragon hybrid… but he kept being hurt, and when Daz came along it only got worse…
So. Decided to make a full drawing of the entire quartet that is Hels ZITS. Helskizz may not exist on the same server as the rest of them, but oh if he did they’d be kind of screwed. I mean. Hels 3L exists. :>
