Agnieszka Budzinska - The Reality Behind The Art
There are so many people online that display their artwork but none as prevalent on my online network than Agnieszka Budzinska who is widely know on Twitter as Yenna92 and on Tumblr and DeviantArt as Ines92. I was lucky enough to meet with this talented young artist and find out her story.
How old were you when you started drawing and what inspired you to start?
This will sound cheesy but I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. My mom always told me that all I needed was paper and crayons and I would be gone for hours but I remember my first 'serious' drawing was a girl on A4 sized paper which I was really proud of; I was 11 at the time. I've always been a fan girl of many things so my first drawings were inspired either by books or games, TV shows or comics...
I am 21 now; I have always been fascinated by illustrations in children's books so that might have been another reason why I started drawing.
I noticed that you use digital and traditional drawings, could you please explain the differences between the two?
Oh yes, traditional and digital art are quite different... They both require different skills I suppose. To do digital art you obviously need some experience with Photoshop and/or other digital editor although you still need to be able to draw in the traditional way... It kind of depends on what kind of art you're doing. Digital allows you to edit your art in every way possible whilst traditional media is not as easy... You must be certain of every stroke you put on the canvas. I'm exaggerating here but I think that's the main difference. Both have pros and cons :-)
Apart from the computer package, is there any special equipment required for digital art?
It’s best to have a graphic tablet. It allows you to draw almost like you'd do it with a real pen. I used to draw with a mouse but that was a disaster! I really would recommend anything from Wacom; they have the best equipment for digital artists out there :-)
Which style do you prefer to use, digital or traditional?
