This letter shows the French frigate Infatigable, launched 1799, she was a 32 gun frigate which in 1802 had carried a troop transport from Cherbourg to Cape France (Santo Domingo), then she had a mission to Havana (Cuba) and off to Brest. In 1806 she was captured by the Royal Navy, when they left Rochefort and became HMS immortality; she was not rearmed, unused she lived on, and was broken up 1811.
