This has to be a record for Most Comics Illyana Is on the Cover Of in a single month of solicitations, doesn't it?
(Including two Peralta masterpieces. I worry he's one of those artist who Marvel is only now realizeing how good they are and will steal from the book where they fit perfectly to put them on something Avenger-y.)
Even discounting the infinite variant covers, that's six different comics, all in the main continuity:
X-MEN #29 X-MEN #30 X-MEN UNITED #3 (another issue of this one, surely she and Kitty will interact in it sometime) MOONSTAR #3 (OF 5) MAGIK & COLOSSUS #4 (OF 5) INFERNAL HULK #7
2026's Infernal Hulk Trade Paperback cover by artist Nic Klein. Source
Release Date : November 10, 2026.
New infernal hulk happened and unsurprisingly it’s managed to annoy X-men and hulk fans
The idea of glib Hernan becoming a terrifying monster thing is kinda cool in theory? But making him a villain as part of another characters story seem in bad taste not to mention they got rid of veggies fucking awesome monster form.
I still have a frankly niave hope that Betty harpy will cone back by the end of this storyline but like I said that hope is niave.
Frankly every issue if the infernal hulk is just showing PKJ’s new OC beating people up and then like one she of Bruce banner to suggest “oh something’s definitely gonna happen in the next issue guys we swear!”
That’s too bad because I kind of liked gardening Glob in MacKay’s X-Men. 😔
Honestly it seems like Marvel comics as a whole is crashing and burning- Moon Knight is the only book that I’ve seen getting praise this year.
Infernal Hulk #5 - "All His Servants" (2026)
written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson art by Nic Klein, Cam Smith, & Matthew Wilson
I feel so much for Betty Ross in Infernal Hulk because I also feel the loss of Red Harpy like the loss of a limb. And the worst part is I’m scared. I know they’re gonna give Hulk back to Bruce but Marvel Editorial hates things that break the status quo and they hate women so what if they make the loss of Harpy permanent. Betty Ross they had no right to take her from you. Betty Ross I love you.
