project hail mary fandom, you would absolutely love the concept of the infinite loops.
A long time ago, I found a little shareworld project called the Infinite Loops Project, where the omniverse broke so every single universe (like every single IP you can imagine and more) within began undergoing time loops (with a couple of variations like two universes overlapping). ULTRAKILL (because come on man, that’s my main hyperfixation) is not part of it yet due to being early access (the ‘Baseline’ is not finished yet)
Today I learned that because of the collaborative nature, player characters without any personality like the knight from Hollow Knight is incapable of realizing that time is looping and will never remember anything that came before. They never will, because then they’ll be like an OC if they were given a personality of their own, and it’ll be pretty daunting for those who just wanted to write something, but their idea of that character is different from the ‘canon’ version of them.
I have not created a space battles account yet (honestly I’m just procrastinating) and they do not allow ULTRAKILL for now, but I’ll suggest something anyway:
What if Gabriel ULTRAKILL is the Anchor (person who always realizes that time is looping no matter what + always remembers past loops) and because of its canon vague personality, laments that V1 will never remember any of the previous timelines at all. Not even one timeline. None.
Of course I won’t write something like that. I still don’t have a SpaceBattles + game’s still in early access so things can change. For all we know, V1 would show enough personality in the future to be enough for writers to turn it into a Looper (person who remembers some timelines)
Project Moon and The Infinite Loops Project
hi it's me back again with things that appeal to Me and Me Alone- or maybe not, considering the various PM quests on Sufficient Velocity? anyway, have a smattering of crossover thoughts
(i know the basics of TILP but i'm not an expert so if i'm wrong about something im sorry-)
It probably took a while to get the PM-verse looping at all. Considering the setting, finding Anchors would be a hard pressed task.
My suggestions (yes I have multiple) would be Binah and Vergilius.
Binah and Hokma are explicitly the only Sephirot to remember all the TT2 loops, and Binah especially has stated she is unable to go mad due to her mechanical body. Hokma has to die to become a Sephirot, so I'm less sure of him, but I think he'd Awaken after her in due time.
(i'm a bit worried about what might happen in LoR considering Binah needs to fight there but no one truly *dies* dies there so it's probably fine?)
Considering that Binah and the rest of the Library crew gets shunted out at the end of LoR though, I think Vergilius would serve as a good Anchor candidate (though I haven't read Leviathan yet so maybe it's less of a good idea-)
Speaking of Limbus, the Mirror seems like it could be tricky to work around since it can basically tap into different Loops, in a way; that said, it would be very funny if someone extracted a Naruto ID-
Also, Taii from Wonderlab, as an Anchor maybe? They are noted to be pretty psychologically stable and are strong enough to manifest their own E.G.O. What's staying my hand is the troubled state of the comic (while I don't think it's been made non canon, it was wiped off the internet) and the fact they're in a spin off.
The Head is absolutely Loop Aware, they just don't give a shit. Carmen might or might not be, but I don't think she'd stop herself from preying on Loopers (cough cough Sakura?) assuming someone doesn't grab her by the incorporeal neck and chokeslam her
In terms of crossovers, I have this one plot bunny where Twilight Awakens in place of X, with Moondancer as her Angela and her friends as the Sephirot. Because, if you think about it, the Seed of Light is just the multiverse's least ethical version of the Elements of Harmony (see also: Celestia Carmen (can't be any worse than CelestAI or that Slavequestria version))
Any Loopers that Loop in as abnos are going to be like, ALEPH and up, for sure, unless it's a Null loop.
The RWBY crew as a Fixer Office (Ruby Office?) or as Limbus sinners
I've said this before, but any of the Persona Loopers using Abnos as Personae or running into Carmen
that's all i have right now, feel free to add on, maybe i'll think of more later
Drawing a Game of Magic: The Gathering
Magic: The Gathering is a famously hard game to draw. The rules of the game only allow draws in vary narrow circumstances; basically, the game state has to break.
In fact I only ever drew a game once. Or, rather, the opponent bumbled into drawing the game. Neither of us realized what had happened at first. I had Enchanted Evening on the battlefield, which makes everything on the battlefield an enchantment. And into that the opponent played Ajani's Chosen, a creature with an ability that says whenever an enchantment enters the battlefield under one's own control, that player must create a 2/2 Cat token.
Since Ajani's Chosen itself entered the battlefield as an enchantment creature due to Enchanted Evening, it automatically triggered itself into making its first 2/2 Cat token...which entered the battlefield as an enchantment creature...triggering the creation of another Cat token...ad infinitum.
The token creation effect on Ajani's Chosen is mandatory—something Magic has moved away from in more recent years, in part to reduce unintended consequences like this one—so there was no way for the opponent to choose not to create a Cat.
In theory, if the opponent had had instant speed enchantment removal, they could have destroyed my Enchanted Evening and broken the loop in response to (any) one of the triggers. But they didn't have instant speed enchantment removal because most decks don't run it.
I did have instant speed enchantment removal in hand, but damned if I was gonna use it! Theoretically, if I had realized what was about to happen (which I didn't) I could've destroyed my enchantment in response to the very first trigger and broken the loop before it ever started. But I was already losing the game at that point due to the opponent's growing menagerie of board threats, and destroying Enchanted Evening would've ruined any chance I had of winning the game. Similarly, once I had allowed a few of these Cat enchantment tokens to resolve onto the board, and realized that the opponent had an infinite combo, there was no way I was going to destroy my enchantment then, because that would've left the opponent with umpteen 2/2 Cat tokens on the board and guaranteed lethal damage on their next turn. So at that point my only out was to draw into a mass enchantment removal card on my next turn. (That was my deck's win condition: Turn everything into an enchantment, make my own things indestructible, and then destroy all enchantments.)
It actually took me a little bit longer to realize that the opponent wasn't in control of their infinite combo, and hadn't done it on purpose. I wasn't sure what would happen next. I figured that whomever's timer ran out first would lose the game, so I had auto-passed all my priorities. In theory, I could still have won the game at this point if the opponent had spent all their remaining clock time resolving new Cat enchantment tokens, but they soon auto-passed priority too, and now the game was playing itself, merrily creating Cat tokens without limit. Mercifully, the game client shortly detected the infinite loop and kindly informed us that an infinite loop had been detected and that the game was a draw.
So by playing Ajani's Chosen into Enchanted Evening, the opponent blundered a game that they had previously been heavily favored to win, and by me not destroying my own enchantment and both of us auto-passing priority, we forced a draw.
I don't know how they felt about it, but I had like eight feathers in my cap afterward.

One of the reasons I like Magic is that, as with chess—in fact even more so than in chess—there are so many permutations and so many possibilities. I wish I could say that you never really play the same game of Magic twice, but that's not true: Magic gameplay is often horribly sameish because most people play the same high-tier netdecks, because they want to win more than they want to have fun (or, more charitably, winning is the part of the game that's fun for them). So most games of Magic follow some very well-worn wagon ruts. But when you do get an opponent with a homebrewed deck, Magic is delightfully varied and diverse in its emergent gameplay, especially when both players' decks are interactive with each other. Games like those become a puzzle to solve, a truly one-of-a-kind puzzle that never came before and will never come again. It's a battle of wits and luck, and the complexity and variety and sheer pleasure of it is truly enthralling.
Anyway, this is apropos of nothing. I am procrastinating from work. Now I guess I should get back to it. :p
I kind of want to write an infinite loop fic for Bridgerton, but not the World Changing events, becoming all powerful and evolving storyline kind. Also, without an anchor. Or maybe it's a moveable anchor- at least One Bridgerton is Awake at all times. And they can have magic powers etc but they have to follow basic rules- not too obvious, don't get caught.
Awake Violet messing with her kids by declaring her intention to skip the season in favour of touring the country- As A Family.
Anthony causing a scandal with I don't know, his fashion choices, because Penelope's the only other looper and she's upset because the society papers are So Boring. The next issue of Whistledown, and several other papers, are all about Viscount Bridgerton's Excessively Bright and ill-fitting pantaloons (loose, yellow muslin). The ribbons on his shirt pass mostly unnoticed.
Benedict letting his family know about his art. After he has a painting in the national gallery.
Colin keeping a diary for his wife whenever they aren't together, recording any new gossip and interesting fashion choices she misses. Learning to cook so he can feed everyone his favourite foods from his travels.
Eloise deciding she's going to be a proper Spinster, and moves to a country cottage just for a change in scene. She ends up writing an epistolary novel with Penelope and teaching the local teens to shoot.
Hyacinth regularly breaking into the St Clair home to look for the diamonds, and writing a few Miss Butterworth-y novels of her own. Some of them about a successful Lady thief.
The Bridgerton clan playing a Calvin ball-esque variation of Pall mall through their London house.
Trying to inspire new fashion trends. Writing borderline scandalous books. .
Experiments with architecture/botany. Experiments in general. They're rich and functionally immortal.
The men experimenting with careers, going into the acceptable gentlemanly careers of Law/clergy/military/civil service, or buying a decrepit estate and try restore it before the end of the loop. Giving up on acceptable gentlemanly careers and trying out medicine/science/farming themselves.
Enjoying variants where they are two sets of triplets and a pair of twins. Variants in other time periods, from medieval through to the 18th century, to the Victorian/Edwardian period. Trying to keep track of what propriety dictates, when it moves from Bridgerton propriety to actual Georgian propriety and a mixture of those and modern manners.
The Infinite Loops is a multi-author fanfic. It is also multi-universal.
From the Infinite Loops TV Tropes page: "The premise is that something has happened to Yggdrasil, the World Tree computer that contains and runs the multiverse. As a result, the various universes have been put in 'safe mode', time-looping until Yggdrasil can be repaired. Each universe's loop is maintained by the presence of an Anchor, a core person from that loop who is the first to notice their universe is looping. There is always an Anchor in a Loop."
One of the most popular loops is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. There are more than 200 chapters! Here a link to the TV Tropes page just for the MLP loops.
As you can guess, I kind of like it!
The image above combines both my interest in plastic ponies and the Infinite Loops. It is part one of two and mainly a refresher on the family relationships of Twilight Sparkle in the loop's "baseline" AKA the show itself. Only "loopers," those that can remember previous time loops, are shown with images.
Twilight's parents are Twilight Velvet and Nightlight. Her biological brother is Shining Armor who is married to Mi Amore Cadenza "Cadance," They have a daughter, Flurry Heart. Twilight's family adopted Spike the Dragon, so he can be considered Twilight's brother.
Finally, Princess Celestia adopted Cadance as her "niece" when Cadance ascended to alicornhood. After Luna returned after a 1000 year banishment, the Princess of the Night also likely considers Cadance her niece. (I'm not sure that this is canonical/baseline, but Luna in the Infinite Loops seems to think so.)
In part 2 we will see how Twilight Sparkle's family has expanded by more than double in the Loops!

Sora woke up in his bed.
Wait…
What?!
What was he doing in his bed? The one in Destiny Islands?!
And why was he a four year old again? This made no sense! Where was The Tower? Where were Riku, Kairi and Lea? Where was King Mickey and Master Yen Sid? What had happened? The last thing he remembered was him going to Olympus Coliseum and then… blank
1.2
Sora woke up
Again
In his bed
He blinked and got up, noticing that he was a four year old once again. Darn it. He was seriously getting confused now. Last time he had thought that it was some weird event, that he was granted a second chance or something. He had tried to fix all he did wrong last time, tried to save Riku and Kairi, only to end up dead.
By a stupid Heartless.
He sighed and simply got up, ready to do this again. It was tedious waiting years, but he was sure he would find a way to kill time. Maybe he could even save Aqua this time!
1.6
Sora woke up
And immediately got out of bed.
“okay” he muttered to himself “what did I do wrong this time? I saved Riku from destroying Destiny Islands, but somehow the Worlds still kept falling... I managed to keep Kairi from having her heart stolen… so what did I do wrong?”
He frowned. He had spent the last few “restarts” trying to fix anything he had done wrong in his original adventures, but somehow he always messed up somehow. Either he saved Kairi and lost Roxas and Namine (and that other girl), or he saved Riku and lost the worlds. And if he let everything go as normal, everyone kept getting hurt.. it just made no sense. And then there was Aqua and the whole Terra and Ventus thing…
Sora groaned miserably in his hands. There was way too much stuff to keep track of! And every time he tried to save someone, he ended up damning another one. There was just no end!
He sighed and prepared himself to meet Aqua.
He had to at least try!
