helloo!!! sorry to bother but i need some advice. biofilm keeps developing on the surface of my betta tank and i'm not sure if i need to remove it? some sources say it's harmless, others say it can cause the fish and plants to suffocate. so i've just been removing it for the last 2-3 days but it comes back everyday! what's your take on this? and any advice?

@infinitrinx biofilm/protein film forms if there isn’t enough surface agitation :p i get it in my tanks too~ i think it’d have to get reaaally thick to stop any gas exchange from happening (which would eventually result in suffocation) tho >.>you can remove it or you can add a small airstone to a corner of the tank (or a bubble wall, you do you~) to help agitate the surface and break up the film ^-^
