There had been so many occasions in her life where people had assumed heroic stature above her, hell, she had been grounded for a lot of her adult life. Just because of MEN who seemed to want to take the lead. Of course, most of that was still something she couldn’t fully recall. A life before the one she led now. Back in a day when women really were just the weaker sex as far as the MEN were concerned. 

She considered her words for a moment, knowing that egos for most of these AVENGERS were in dire need o f stroking. Something she had no time or patience for but she DID want to earn their trust. A team who entrusted in each other was a team who could take down the MONSTER who had ruined everything. “How about you start to care –or maybe just about the people who will be affected by your actions. Look, dude, I’m all for running in there and blowing that prune back where he came from but we gotta do this TOGETHER. And believe me, I’m not usually a team player so this is legit when I’M the one saying it. So …. do you think we can go through this where you’re not going in alone and actually planning on coming back?”
