Well this is a predicament people like me and idk how to make money off this
Me, showing my mom a whole box of goodies a brand sent me: Look, Mom! They told me to choose two designs and they sent all these notebooks...
Mom: Oh nice, so you pick the one you like and send the rest back?
It's so sweet how clueless she is about what this whole running-an-IG-account is actually like.
There had been lots of misunderstandings on Twitter lately about being a blogger/vlogger/etc., and being an influencer.
Let us define words here:
Blogger - a person who writes certain experiences, opinions, etc., on a website.
Vlogger - a person who creates video blogs.
Influencer - a person who has the power to reach people and is able to be an image of influence though social media.
As a blogger (and occasional vlogger), I think I must have a say on this. Yes, I blog (and vlog) but that does not necessarily mean I am an influencer. I do not even claim to be one. That’s because creating content is one level. It is one level to express thoughts, emotions, and musings to certain amount of people on the internet. Yes, everybody has the power and freewill to do such, even to entertain. In fact, anybody can do blogging and vlogging, given that they have enough resources, right?
However, it takes another great level to become an influencer. For me ha, that means having the responsibility for your actions, and knowing the risks of your words. Being an influencer requires effort, involvement, and platform. You cannot easily be an influencer just because you have thousands and millions of “loyal” viewers, readers, or followers. It takes guts and passion to be one. If you consider yourself one, ask yourself, “what change have I done to people’s lives? did I make an impact? was I able to contribute my knowledge? or was it purely for entertainment?”
