The countdown to Invisobang 2026 begins! For those of you who don't know, Invisobang is a collaborative event for authors, artists, and musicians. Over the course of several months, authors write fanfics, and artists and musicians create pieces based on those fics!
If you want to connect with other creators in the Phandom, this is the event for you!
How does it work?
Authors begin writing as soon as they sign up. Their goal is to write a fic with 5000 words minimum, although there is no maximum. Halfway through the event, they anonymously submit a profile of their fic.
Using these profiles, artists and musicians pick the fics that interest them the most and submit a claim. Mods pair up authors, artists, and musicians based on these claims.
During the second half of the event, authors finish their stories while artists and musicians make their pieces.
At the end of the event, participants share their work during posting week to create a big bang of content for everyone to ooh and aah at!
When is it, and how do I sign up?
Invisobang runs from March 15 to September 7. You will sign up through a Google Form posted here on the blog during our sign-up periods. The sign-up form will also linked in the pinned post.

The event is hosted through the Invisobang Discord. Participants must have a Discord account and be willing to join.
Co-authors can sign up in teams.
Alternative forms of art (glass, clay, bookbinding, etc.) are allowed, however all artists must be capable of traditional or digital art.
All skill levels are allowed.
All content must be made new for the event, which means no continuing posted wips.

Tento blog je pokusem o tumblr platformu, která by mohla fungovat pro šíření informací o aktuálním dění s důrazem na akce, které, jak už název napovídá, můžeme podniknout my jako běžní občané. Vycházím z toho, že svět jaksi začíná trochu hořet, a zvlášť po posledních volbách bude důležitý, abychom věděli, co kde a jak se děje a kde se zapojit.
Víš o iniciativě, petici, organizaci, která ti přijde důležitá a aktuální? Hoď ji do submissions nebo do asks výše.
Background
Už nějakou dobu se o něco trochu pokouším jako @linka-r9-vysocina - předávat věci, které ke mně připlavou, dál směrem do čumblr komunity, protože vím, že s mnoha lidma tady jsme hodnotově podobní a že se ke spoustě lidí často různé dobře míněné iniciativy nedostanou (a to včetně mně, já jsem dost vydán na milost a nemilost tomu, co mi ukáže instagram, což samozřejmě jaksi. není ideální).
Postupem času docházím k tomu, že by bylo dobré mít tyto infopříspěvky nějak odděleně, a to nejen tagem, který jsem pro to měl vyhrazený na hlavním profilu. Uvědomuju totiž si, že jsou lidé, kteří mě sledují pro shitposting a nechtějí vidět petice, a naopak můžou být jiní, které sere můj shitposting a naopak by petice vidět chtěli. Toto vše se zkombinovalo s pocitem zmaru, který mě popadá při pohledu na sestavování nové pravicově-populistické vlády. A protože mi klasické apely "organizujte se", "angažujte se" a "dělejte něco" přijdou velmi prázdné, dává mi smysl začít dávat dohromady možnosti, jak se reálně zapojit - ať už jako člověk na demonstraci, podpisem petice, psaním mailů, finančně, materiálně nebo svým časem.

Co můžu submitnout, typově?
Ideálně něco, co je aktuální, přijde ti to důležité a hlavně: je to konatelné. Informace např. o konfliktu v Kongu jsou důležité, ale pokud není nic, co bychom s nimi mohli aktuálně udělat, sdílej je spíš k sobě na blog než sem. Naopak pokud půjde o něco, kde dává smysl např. napsat vládním představitelům, patří to určitě sem.
Patří sem i finanční sbírky, pokud za nimi bude stát zavedená a důvěryhodná organizace (bohužel nemám kapacitu kontrolovat a ověřovat každou Donio sbírku, i kdyby byla na dobrou věc): např. Lékaři bez hranic, Člověk v tísní, zavedené spolky posílající materiál na Ukrajinu apod.
Vítány jsou i iniciativy, které hledají materiální pomoc, dobrovolníky...
O jaká témata tu jde?
Směřování naší země směrem k budoucnosti, kde bude méně nerovnosti, chudoby a nespravedlnosti. Antifašismus. Ekologická spravedlnost, snaha řešit klimatickou krizi.
Odkud bereš informace?
Zatím nemám úplně dobrý systém a informace ke mně připlouvají náhodně mezilidskou a socmediální osmózou (snažím se nějak sledovat Amnesty International, Konsent, Člověka v tísni, Lékaře bez hranic; ohledně Palestiny Yaru Abu Ataya na instagramu, deník Alarm). To není ideální a v blízké budoucnosti si plánuji udělat seznam spolků, které budu sledovat nějak organizovaněji a podrobněji.
Proč jsi tak Prahocentrický?
Bydlím v Praze a věci, které ke mně dotékají, se většinou týkají Prahy (i když doufám, že se mi to třeba podaří trochu naředit i jinou geografií). Jsi-li odjinud a víš o něčem, co se u vás děje, o čem nevím já - do submissions s tím!
Sdílel jsi akci/spolek, kde se angažuju, a něco je tu v příspěvku špatně/mám s tím zkušenost a nedoporučuju/nelíbí se mi, že o tom sdílíš informace ty, když s tím nemáš nic společného...?
Toto všechno je naprosto legitimní. Prosím, pokud na něco takového narazíš, napiš mi, ať už prostřednictvím askboxu, nebo skrz reblogy, nebo jinak.
Budeš nějak filtrovat submissions?
Vyhrazuju si právo nezveřejnit to, co jde mimo tematický záběr nebo se jinak nehodí, případně to jde proti hodnotám, které jsou pro mě zásadní.
Jaké to jsou hodnoty?
Žádný rasismus, sexismus a queerfobie jakéhokoli typu, žádný antisemitismus ani islamofobie. Přeju si svobodnou Palestinu pro všechny její obyvatele a Ukrajinu v jejích původních hranicích a svobodnou se rozhodovat o svém budoucím směřování, bez ruského nátlaku.
Závěrem
Prosím, buďte ke mně hodní. Je to pokusný projekt a možná se ukáže, že je to píčovina, kterou nikdo sledovat nechce. Rozhodně si nechci hrát na arbitra toho, co je důležité a co není. Jsem pouze občan, 27 let, který si uvědomil, jak špatně někdy tečou informace i mezi lidmi, kteří mají hodně společného, jen se nachází v jiných mediálních bublinách, a kterému přišlo důležité je předávat dál.

Nasim Najafi Aghdam was an Iranian-American YouTuber who became the subject of international headlines following an attack on the YouTube headquarters in 2018.
Aghdam was born on April 5, 1979, in Urmia, Iran. She immigrated to the United States with her family in 1996 when she was approximately 16 years old. Most of her adult life was spent in Southern California, particularly in San Diego and Riverside County, where she lived with her grandmother.
Known for her eclectic interests, Aghdam was a dedicated vegan activist, animal rights supporter, and bodybuilder. She was a member of the Baháʼí Faith and often linked her dietary choices to her religious and ethical beliefs.
Aghdam was a prolific creator across several platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, and Telegram. She operated under the name "Nasime Sabz" (Green Breeze) and produced content in English, Farsi, and Turkish. Her digital footprint was characterized by her stance on animal rights as well as videos ranging from fitness tutorials and vegan cooking to bizarre parodies and performance art.
The defining conflict of her life was her escalating resentment toward YouTube. Starting around 2016, Aghdam began publicly accusing the platform of censorship and discrimination. YouTube was filtering her content to reduce her view counts and intentionally stopping her from earning ad revenue. She was particularly angered when one of her workout videos was age-restricted, which she viewed as a targeted attempt to suppress her message. On her personal website, she wrote extensively about the lack of "free speech" in the real world and expressed a deep sense of injustice regarding how digital platforms were managed.
In the days leading up to the attack, she was reported missing by her family, who warned police she was "angry" with YouTube. She was found by officers sleeping in her car in Mountain View the morning before the shooting, but they did not deem her a threat at the time.
On April 3, 2018, Aghdam traveled to the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California. At approximately 12:46 p.m., she entered the campus through an exterior parking garage and opened fire on an outdoor patio with a 9mm semi-automatic pistol. She wounded three people before taking her own life. Authorities later confirmed that her motive was purely retaliatory against the company's policies, as she had no personal connection to the individuals she shot.

Likes have zero impact other than to say 'I saw it, that's nice' and inflate the note count. Tumblr only thrives while people share what they love, or what interests them. I know there is a toggle for this place with something like an algorithm, but anyone who has been here for five minutes probably turned that off the second that it crossed their dash. It isn't effective and most of us came here in the first place (if we weren't here already) to escape that sort of thing.
We rely on each other to build this community and make it bigger and brighter. We choose the people whose interests line up with ours to see their stuff, but that only works when they continue to share the stuff they see that they enjoy and pass it on.
