That moment when you start a day, realize you literally have all the time in the world, and relish the idea of all you can do! "Oh the writing I can get done," you think to yourself as your soul is happy and free. "I can read that book too or work on my drawing/painting!" You sing merrily to yourself. Little do you realize that time has faded as you are lost in your own mind. By the time you decide on which one to work on, you have wasted your day on your phone.

"Whhhhyyyyy does this always happen!?!?!?!?!?" You say to yourself as the sun goes down and it is time to start dinner...

hi, i’m catching feels for someone who i think has feels for me but i’m worried i’m just idealising the situation and getting my hopes up (classic infp), i dont want to go into this with half feelings cus i dont want to string this person along and i’m not even sure i’m ready for something new cus i just got out of a toxic situation where someone strung me along, still i dont want to miss finding something beautiful and worthwhile with someone new cus of the past and cus i'm afraid what do i do?

Do it, go for it, make it happen, have at it, and all the  other things that mean just DO IT! Hang on, I got a gif for this….

But no, Anon, if you feel that they have feelings for you, and you like them and you can start something, I mean so what the worst they can say is no? Ok, so you are back at square one. Ok, fine accepted, move on! But like you said, why pass something up? Plus think about it this way. You are kinda letting that person prior control you if you don’t go for it or let it hold you back right? So in essence, you’re letting that past toxic relationship rule you. Just sayin’.

Is it just me that notices that we get taken advantage of? Why is it? Is it because kindness is a thing that we take for granted? That we should display? Is it because in our heart of hearts and the rose colored glasses we more often than not "see through" end up making us feel that there is always something good in a person? A little dot of white in a deep dark black? Some sort of redeeming quality that we are supposed to see as INFPs?

But what about us? How many times are we supposed to sit and suffer? When do we call it? When do we finally say we're done and throw up our hands? Do we not because it would actively mean that in the end we are giving up in humanity in a way? Or is it something more than that. I couldn't tell you. I just know that I hate the fact that so much has shaped me to be rough around edges at times. I used to be so soft and able to feel, but now, I've been hurt a lot. There is so much scar tissue, that I don't know if things will ever go back. I've had those that I trusted most walk out or hurt me worse than I ever thought they could. I remember a time when I wasn't this way. And though I hate how it makes me feel I know that I have to get this way before I change. Before I look out for myself I have to be beaten down to the point of bloody and exhausted. And it sucks but this is what seems to be part of us as a type. It's just always a disappointment when it happens. It just makes me question why it takes so long. Am I the only one? The only one that gives chance after chance until I have no more to give? Or is it a thing we face as a type.... maybe?

INFPs: Processing or Emotional Delay?

INFPs are known to be fluffy and very cinnamon roll types. But what many don’t know is that we can be analytical as all get out. Some tread that very fine line that can almost make us come across a T rather than an F type. We are contradictions of course but to say we are guided solely on emotions, is not true, not for many. 

A couple asks prior was questioning that and honestly, I can’t say as it didn’t make me think and totally relate. I do analyze everything. Sometimes is seeps into my emotions and decisions which I know is not a good thing because it can cause me to seem kind of cool towards a subject, or make me take my heart out of a matter. BUT this happens mostly due to stress or just shock of a situatiuon that has been presented to me. Many of times it may make me look like I just don’t care. My biggest thing that gets me is that I will sit there, feel emotions about something, basically want to cry yet know what the logical answer is and say that, then after a few hours or even a few days go by, think about it and have all of the emotions that I really felt come out and hit me HARD. Especially if the issue put on the spot and I am not one to really cry in front of people so I have no choice but to act like the stable one, no matter how much it hurt me. It takes me that long sometimes and I guess it is more of a defense mechanism than anything. I have always been this way. Sure it makes for a good business mind, but man, does it cause issues and can actually get you pretty stuck. Plus you think to yourself “where was that comeback then?”  Just a personal observation. INFPs feel like they have to be strong and hold such high morals and values, that sometimes it can be a great thing but other times it can work against us. So the question remains, Processing, Emotional Delay or a little bit of both?

Hi! I'm an INFP girl, and I feel so troubled by everything lately. I don't have many friends because I flew overseas and have been away from home for almost one year. Prior to moving away from home, I was very depressed and suffered through an eating disorder. I used to work really hard and do my best, but since now I'm alone, I feel like I gave up on everything that I used to work so hard for. I don't know how to get my life together. Any tips on getting back my long-lost motivation?

Hello Fellow INFP, 

Coming from someone that uprooted their life to a completely new area to pursue their goals after years of denying it… Strive for the future,  because the future starts today! Not tomorrow, or next Monday. I too felt kinda down, though I never flew overseas, but starting from scratch and not having the friends I did when I was back home nor the family, it made me just start making little goals for myself. I focused on getting the goals done, even if they seemed small or stupid. Every time I achieved them, it made me happy and more motivated. I think the thing with us is that we tend to be the kind that is so prone to looking at the big picture, that we fail to look at the small things. It is the small things that lead up to something bigger. Snowball effect. You have to focus on what makes you happy and what makes you, you. Sadly yes you are the only one that can do it. But if you do try you’d be surprised at the determination you can have. Don’t bring the baggage of the past with you, just look at what is to come and the possibilities. Bringing the past with you, usually never goes well, just from my experience. I hope this helps a bit and as always, feel free to message me Anon. I am here :)

When I took the test and turned out as an INFP the T thing came as 93% but I don't understand what does it mean, how different does that make me from other INFPs with lower T percentage ?

Hello INFP!

Ok, there is either -T (Turbulent) or -A (Assertive) The higher percentage you score on either side, means the more like that you are. For example, your getting a 93% on the -T side, means that you are more Turbulent and care more about what people think. Same goes for the opposite end of the spectrum, if someone got a 20% -T and a 80% -A means that they are more Assertive meaning they don’t really care about the opinions of others or how it affects them and are usually pretty secure in themselves. I find more -As to be ones that are older with more life experience in my findings. They still may care about the opinions of others, but it seems to concern them far less. Again from what I have observed.
