Although I may be inclined to feel that it’s safe to ingest SOME essential oils (EOs), I would always be cautious about the quantity and quality of EOs I buy. EOs need to be heavily diluted in a carrier oil, such as vegetable oils. Make sure they are free from adulterations and contaminants and from a reputable company who pride themselves on purity. . Here’s a few tips if you are considering the option of trialling it out: . 1. Do your research before you consider ingesting EOs. 2. Always consult a qualified health practitioner before embarking on any essential oil therapy. 3. Use oils that are ‘Generally Recognised As Safe’ by the FDA. 4. Be sensible. Start off with one drop and mix in well in at least 1 tbsp of any vegetable or coconut oil which could then be added to your beverage or meal. 5. Listen to your body, and… 6. Discontinue use IMMEDIATELY if adverse reactions occur. . Remember, this is just my opinion and should not be taken as solid evidence to start knocking back essential oils. I wouldn’t recommend it at all for long-term daily use and it shouldn’t be used as a preventative method. Treat essential oil consumption, just like any other potent medication, with adverse side effects. . Check out my last post which gives you details of the essential oils that are on the GRAS status list and those that can pose a serious health risk if ingested in anyway. . #ingestingeos #stepbystepguide #essentialoils #essentialoilsforhealth #essentialoileducation #aliyaaromas (at London, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwutFAHFuVJ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ffiqy7zckgb3
