Claire feels like a character from a shoujo manga here and there is nothing you can tell me to change my mind.

I used to read plenty of shoujo when I was a teenager, I have quite a cool collection of them. As a hopeless romantic that I was, I gave myself way too high expectations and now I’m just this disappointed potato.

Guess that’s why I find comfort in drawing Cleon. Precious babies.

A while back I’d posted some examples on how I shade with ink on my deviantart page. I hope this is helpful ☺

Stippling- Dotting the circle, decreasing the amount of dots as the shading gets lighter

Hatching- Lines that get longer and more spread out as the object gets lighter

Scribbles- just random scribble mark similar to the dots

Contouring - curved lines in the direction of the curve of the object

Cross hatching - vertical hatch lines with horizontal or diagonal lines intersecting at the darkest lighting and less at the brightest.
