#inking process

I've been trying my hand again at inking with nibs and was getting very frustrated by the process (sometimes it was fine, sometimes all blotchy and unresponsive), and after many tries I now realize it's the cheap ass ink I bought that makes it all so tedious :D

I now realize I have never traditionally inked with GOOD black ink. It's always been the cheapest stuff, and never satisfying. NOW I UNDERSTAND!

Big thanks to my partner (also an artist) who passed me her better ink and different types of papers to help out u_u💙

(conclusion: don't buy the french Rougier&Plé ink if you use dip pen nibs!!)

Stephanie Brown in Kurt Schaffenberger’s style!

KS is my absolute favourite early artist but he retired just a few years before Steph was introduced. So when I wanted to do a style study of his, I had to draw her. The suit is a mixture of basically all of hers because I was drawing from memory and didn’t want to commit to a single design :) I used various panels of Supergirl as the main reference

Process of a commission linework, I love the speed up feature in video making because this seems so easy watching it fast ehehe or else this ould be like 30 minute long video so speed up~!

Still need to smooth out some things, extend and scar and fix details but making a video while I draw is more distracting so I need to focus
