Inktober 2023 — Day 26 — Remove

Can I just say, I am really proud of today’s drawing! This was all free handed, so pose references or anything. And yet I was able to do a somewhat good perspective drawing. That almost never happens! Alright, enough patting myself on the back, onto todays prompt!

“Remove” is kind of a strange prompt since it’s specific yet open. Like, anything can be removed, but the connotations of the word sound negative yet can be up to interpretation. In the end, I thought of a thief removing something from the museum (stealing it). And what better thief to do than Sly Cooper? I had the idea in my head to have him climbing a rope as his way out because I vaguely remember something like that happening in the games, though I can’t remember which one exactly. I based it off his design in the Thieves in Time animated cutscenes. I just liked the amount of detail in it. As for what he’s stealing, initially I thought of a giant gem, but changed it to a priceless vase. Guess I wanted to switch thing up. And of course I had to include the empty display case with his calling card! I can only imagine how people in that world react when they see that card. I imagine Carmelita isn’t happy. :)
