The definition of the Interior as its own region comes from the 2019 Galactic Explorer's Guide which has a nice simplified map showing the regions.

I actually prefer this way of showing areas of the galaxy, based off of a geometric circular grid rather than the "wobbly" borders on other maps.

If we compare the borders of the Interior to the maps we have from the Essential Atlas, the Interior could be further broken into the Negs, the Northern Dependencies, the Southern Core, and the edge of the Hyperspace Anomalies we now know as the Red Honeycomb Zone.

Yag’Dhul was a barren world located in the Inner Rim. Home to the mathematically minded Givin, Yag’Dhul was inhospitable to most species. Intense tidal forces caused by its three moons sometimes pulled all water on the planet’s surface to one area or another, leaving vacuum in between. Yag’Dhul was centered on important trade routes, and a common waypoint.

You can briefly see a star shining in the bottom portion of the screen for a split second, meaning this could actually be the Naboo system the Jenidirian Valley is flying through (or the sun of the Denon or Pax system before making their next hyperspace jump...)

Kiffu and Kiffex were two planets located in the Inner Rim. Kiffu was home of the near-human Kiffar species. Their elliptical orbits caused them to pass close to each other, causing intense electrical storms that the Kiffar harnessed. Kiffex’s rich soil led it to be an agricultural center.

Taanab was a meadowy planet located in the Inner Rim, on the Perlemian Trade Route, one of the most important hyperspace routes in the galaxy. Its climate allowed for lush growth of vegetation, making Taanab a notable agricultural world. The world managed to avoid serious action until the decline of the Empire.

Yag’Dhul was a planet located in the Inner Rim. Home to the exoskeletal Givin species, Yag’Dhul was a barren world. The sparse atmosphere was drawn to certain areas of the planet’s surface, while the rest remained a vacuum. It was a major trade hub.
