The Battle of Taanab took place just before the destruction of the Death Star, fought between the Taanab defense fleet and a pirate group, the Norulac Freebooters. Led by Lando Calrissian, who was incidentally present, the Taanab forces (comprised of Z-95 Headhunters and one freighter) were able to repel the Freebooters. Calrissian won the deed to a brewery on Taanab and eventually was promoted to general in the Rebellion due to his leadership.

So, just for the kicks I took the Mary Sue test for my new OC, Marillay Sah'Man... 56 points! Hell yeah, she's a Mary Sue ! Proudly! What would you expect from someone who's supposed to become the main deity in my Headcanon for the Taanabian tri-deities pantheon?

Wes Janson was a human pilot from Taanab. Janson joined the Rebel Alliance around the destruction of Alderaan, and almost served with Red Squadron, but was replaced by Wedge Antilles as Janson was ill. Janson went on to serve in Rogue Squadron, the most elite fighter group in the Rebellion, on Hoth and on many other dangerous assignments.

Taanab was a meadowy planet located in the Inner Rim, on the Perlemian Trade Route, one of the most important hyperspace routes in the galaxy. Its climate allowed for lush growth of vegetation, making Taanab a notable agricultural world. The world managed to avoid serious action until the decline of the Empire.
