I am often really angsty about pictures of myself (re: this Instagram full of ... not pictures of me) but I wanted to experiment with this idea from @jessclively of the “inner selfie”—basically letting your radiant inner self come through in the picture instead of focusing on the critical nit-picky thoughts. I have to say, RAWR! 🐯 Why is it so hard to be seen? You’d think that since I wrote a novel and got it published, I would want to be seen as well, but HELL no. (Apparently.) And yet, not being seen is the source of so much brain garbage, resentment, and envy. I am a massively envious person, and also truly empathetic, which is a weird as hell combo. These slightly fragmentary thoughts brought to you by Friday afternoon post-movement transmutation class (thank you @yumisakugawa and Janet Lo!), time for a SANDWICH! . . . . . . #innerselfie #innerselfieproject https://www.instagram.com/p/CLxR5CMhxPN/?igshid=1ir35jmp1pdsj
