Everything green
Is it a coincidence that we find little peace in nature,
Or perhaps fate which brought us to each other,
How or who am I to know, for I am a mere earthly creature,
And who are we to even question, or even bother.
Though such things do nag you for a long while,
Even when you might feel, they won't really get you,
And yet after everything, they still do,
And so I wonder, if this coincidence is gonna last the longest mile.
Since the day you came, all colours were replaced,
Well, all yes, except one,
And all the while I had considered my heart to be misplaced,
But with your arrival, fortune wheels had spun.
Life, often blue, turned a beautiful green,
With God's grace and with your presence,
I am finding a pillar on which I can lean,
Giving you nothing, but a listener in essence.
Before you, everything green was simply everything me,
For that was partially the meaning of my name,
But now, with you,
Everything green is and will always be everything you,
For in my life, that is also what defines you.
