I've been seeing Dispatch let's plays and it's making me think more about August and his superhero AUs---
largely because he doesn't consider himself a superhero.
Yes, he has super powers, but it's magic. So like Zatanna or Dr Strange, he might just use his name. However, it's also fun imagining him trying the whole costume-codname bit and asking @bruz3r or @thwipit for input. Because it's one thing to act like a superhero, it's another to make the whole superhero impression.
Okay besties, here’s the ittorou wip
Should I finish this one, and make another version with flustered Gorou?
(Finished it btw)
trying 2 decide whether im well enough to stream today..... if i did itd probably be more messing around w/ guitar or midi, or singing w/ iium, or drawing, or spiritfarer...... hmmmm
ive seen people saying that it's bad to use the kyoshi makeup as a costume (the clothes and stuff is fine, but the makeup means something different), but i also see ppl of all ethnicities wearing the makeup a lot w/o criticism, so idk what to think...
as i’m not of east asian descent, i can’t comment, but i read that as long as you don’t do the base white it’s okay?
kinda want to post some fic recs
hello I came out as trans with a new name and my partner’s reaction was that they needed some time to get used to it but that they were happy for me and very encouraging. i feel unjustifiably hurt that they weren’t excited for me and sorta made their adjustment issues the emotional focus in the moment. i know they love and support me but I don’t know if I should give them grace about taking time to adjust or if I’m allowed to be hurt by their stiffness; i know they support me completely but just the initial reaction wasn’t the warmth i hoped for and I wish I knew why that hurt so much
Ever come up with a take that you think might be Something™, but you can’t quite articulate it well enough to know for sure? Anyway, I’m trying to figure out if there’s any thematic parallels between Grendel and his Mother in the epic poem Beowulf (c. 700-1000 CE), and Jason and Pamela Voorhees in the Friday the 13th films.
