It’s no secret that I absolutely adore Cole. He is my son, my boy, one of my top 3 all-time favorite companions in all of Dragon Age. 

Part of the reason I love him so much is his little non-dialogue dialogue bits. When you go up to him in the tavern, he usually says something cryptic before you can engage in an actual conversation with him. 

This video has a good list of the things he says about your companions. What I love about it is that some of them are a little ambiguous as to who they could be talking about unless you really know your people. Like, some of the Vivienne-related lines, I hadn’t gotten until this last play through when I took the time to try to get to know her. 

It’s just. Cole is just such a neat way for the creators to let us understand our companions even better. He’s 15/10 a brilliant plot device and 20/10 a good boy. 

Tl;dr, I would die for Cole.
