This was a request given to me by my friend, @artrmotus, the Chara from my AU Underinspired with expression B2 from that insane expression meme I reblogged!

I had fun with this, and I tried something a little different this time--no lineart. I sketched the image, and then colored it and shaded it. It was an interesting experience, and kind of fun. There were some frustrating bits, but I kinda liked not having to meticulously go over every line before coloring. Of course, it makes it a bit harder to put the base color down, but still.

My thought is that this is probably when Chara is living with Asriel and the Dreemurr family, and something triggers a panic attack, and this is Chara lashing out at Asriel because of it. Unfortunately, Chara is just as likely to be furious when panicked/anxious as frightened. They can be snappy or even yell at someone who’s innocent.

Chara felt bad afterwards, but Asriel didn’t let them stay that way. He’s a forgiving and sweet goat boy.

Chara looks a little bit older than they actually are at this point in time, and I think that’s because I used the anatomy of the expression prompt, which appears to me to be an adult male.
