Can i show you guys the beauty of my favourite insect ever? Yes? Okay, thank you.

This is treehopper membracis lunata. Here in Brasil we call 'em 'soldadinho' (lil soldier). They got that nickname because their body format is similar to those old helmets. And in some placed they called 'viuvinha' (lil widow), cuz most of them are black.

They are very small, and completely harmless. They herbivores, and eat the sap from plants. So if there's a tree nearby, there's probably a soldadinho there too. Also them very friendly, If you put one of them in your hand, they'll just stay there for a while and when they had enough they'll fly away.

There's record of them all around the world, except for the poles, for obvious reasons. And they come in all shapes and collors, look!

First one looks like a Brachiosaurus (long-necked dinosaur). Second one looks like a crescent moon, but black. Third reminds me of a stag. Forth one is just straight up a moth.

Ain't them so cool? Yes, they are! :)
