People my age find the church boring. Some people older than us go to church because they want to go with the flow that church is a place where you should go when Sunday comes, for them to show others that they also go to the church. Some go to church because they want to show God they're present, so God should give them what they're praying for months. Some choose to undergo conversion because they aren't happy with what they're experiencing when they go to church.
I have been through that. At an early age, I was a churchgoer. I never understood its essence. Going to church is boring. People fill the church's empty areas, which makes me hate it. It's so hot in there, my feet ache because I've been standing for an hour, and yes, I always have a lot of reasons why I hate going to church. Sometimes I get excited going to church because, after the mass, my family automatically eat in the finest restaurants, and that's what I'm after. Several years passed, and I still live with that.. until one day, everything changes.
My dear friends, converting to another religion isn't always the answer when you get tired of the church's practices. Stopping yourself from attending because you feel like the church is a horrible place isn't an answer. You don't like going to church because there's no reason for you to go there in the first place, which isn't the right thinking. What you need is to open your eyes. If you find the church, you're attending boring, weird, suffocating, and for many unpleasant reasons, find a way for you to find a place of comfort, love, peace, and those pleasant reasons.
My friend, I thought that I'd never change, that I'd always find the church as a boring place. But you know what, God helped me find a church that made me realize that I have to find the perfect place for me. A place where I'll know Him more. A place that'll help me to get close to Him. A place where I'll feel like I do belong there. And I can proudly share with you, my friends, that I already found it. It is The Feast that helped me to appreciate the church more, to enjoy the people around me and the highest of all is that I realize how much I need God in my life.
