Growing apart: People change over time. Sometimes, couples simply grow apart and no longer have the same needs and desires. Like the Dave Mason song says "There ain't no good guys, there ain't no bad guys, there's only you and me, and we just disagree."

It happens to the best of couples. Don't beat yourself up if it's too late to get the spark back from a failing marriage. Sometimes, relationships just run their course.

My parents on their wedding day in 1953 and at their 60th anniversary (they made it to their 65th...’until death do us part’.)  An extraordinary milestone, especially since they remained deeply in love, and held each other in the highest esteem.

Ever since I was young I craved a quick burn love, where we fall in love at first sight and dive in head first. It’s fast and hot and passionate, and we love harder than we have ever loved before. All because I never believed it could last. If it’s good, it’s not good for long. So it’s best to love hard and leave. But lately I crave more. I want to slow dance in the kitchen because some classical song started to play on the radio, I want inside jokes that no one else understands, I want to look someone in the eyes and feel safe, like I’ve finally made it home.
