This post is about where to go to find good movies and television (without the sketchy downloads or torrents) To start, let’s find some material: anime/cartoons, tv shows, or movies? We’ll begin in order with the first.
Everyone has their preferences, but for American cartoons I tend to use watchcartoononline.com; this site has everything animation: Japanese animes/films, Disney movies, some shorts and of course cartoons. For the more obscure cartoons and anime, I’ll jump on either crunchyroll or kisscartoon, depending on what my google search reveals (google is always your friend).
With all of the video hosts out there (like videobull, vid.me, vodlocker, promptfile, etc) I don’t go with the same host every time. Instead, I use websites that gather multiple host links onto one page and let you decide which to click. The more you do this, the better you’ll get at finding the best host links to select (the servers are always changing names). And so, for TV shows (upcoming and old) I use some form of Couchtuner. For movies, I use primewire.ag. Obviously, security risks do exist on sites like these, so use caution and VPNs are recommended. But as long as you aren’t downloading new movies or video-games, its very unlikely you’ll be harassed.
But what to watch? Indeed, this can be quite the quandary, especially if you’re an esteemed member of the cinephilia. Firstly, if you have access to Netflix or Amazon, instantwatcher.com is a good site that tracks all new releases and expirations. But for those who feel like they’ve seen them all, I highly recommend visiting agoodmovietowatch.com. The goal of this site is to find great movies that people might have passed over for one reason or another: many are foreign films, some are independent, and others critically underrated (and yet become cult classics). Even after a few years of perusing, I still come across some new and refreshing content on this website.
Now that you know where to find quality movies and TV, its nice to keep track of when your favorites air with the TVtracker app (myanimelist.com is a good one for anime). Its free for andriod or apples, and notifies you 15 minutes before the shows air so you can get the popcorn ready. I know most of us have our own system for accessing content, but I thought I’d share some of mine in hopes of spreading helpful information. This is great for parents who keep asking you to find stuff for them.
