Ayurvedic Study Shows Promise in Rheumatoid Arthritis
A recent study demonstrated the significant effectiveness of the Ayurvedic Whole System (AWS) in managing Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). RA is a chronic autoimmune disorder affecting millions globally. This groundbreaking research reveals AWS not only alleviates RA symptoms. It also promotes a crucial metabolic shift toward normalcy in patients. This offers a promising complement to conventional treatments available today. Senior researchers from prestigious institutions conducted the study. Participants included the Arthritis Treatment and Advanced Research Center (A-ATARC) and Lucknow University’s State Ayurvedic College and Hospital. Experts from the Centre of Biomedical Research (CBMR) at SGPGIMS Campus and AcSIR also contributed. The study provides new insights into Ayurvedic medicine's potential for treating RA. Pathology Reversal and Symptom Reduction Dr Sanjeev Rastogi, the study’s lead author, highlighted the findings' importance. He stated that the study suggests the possibility of pathology reversal in RA. This reversal occurs through the Ayurvedic approach. It supports the concept of ‘Samprapti Vighatan’. This term describes dismantling the disease process. It also includes the normalization of 'Doshas.' The Journal of Ayurveda and Integrated Medicine (JAIM) published the research. It reported substantial improvements in key clinical parameters. RA patients showed these improvements after the AWS intervention. Results included a notable reduction in the Disease Activity Score-28 Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (DAS-28 ESR). Patients also experienced decreases in the number of swollen and tender joints. The Ama Activity Measure (AAM) Score also showed significant improvement. This score assesses toxin levels in the body post-intervention. These clinical results offer clear validation of the traditional system's efficacy. Metabolic Markers Shift Toward Normalcy The study went deeper into biological changes. Researchers explored the metabolic profiles of RA patients. They compared these profiles to healthy controls. Initially, RA patients showed elevated levels of certain metabolites. These included succinate, lysine, and 3-Hydroxybutyrate (3-HB). They also showed decreased alanine levels. These markers reflect the body's imbalanced metabolic state due to RA. After AWS treatment, these metabolic markers began to shift. The levels moved toward those seen in healthy individuals. This clearly indicates a transition toward a more balanced metabolic state. The finding supports the idea that the AWS treatment reaches the foundational, biological level of the disease. While these findings are highly encouraging, the authors call for further research. They need to confirm the results. They also need to better understand the exact mechanisms. This breakthrough emphasizes the potential of integrating traditional Ayurvedic practices. Combining them with modern medical approaches can enhance patient outcomes. This offers real hope for millions suffering from chronic conditions like Rheumatoid Arthritis.

The pandemic has provided us with a unique opportunity to enable enormous capacity building of the entire health sector which can be achieve through a multi-stakeholder approach. To make a corona free nation, we need to follow Multifocal treatment, an integrated approach ( Modern medicine + Ayurveda Medicine + Homeopathy Medicine+ Unani Medicine + Yoga + other contemporary medicine) towards treating covid positive patients. For each medicine science/ system there are some limitations and drawbacks, if we collectively make some protocol and aim at saving the life of a people we can surely reduce the number of death rates and increase the recovery rates. Integrated approach can save life of many...Let’s implement and support it.. #integratedmedicine #multifocalapproachtofightcovid #allinone #multidimentionalapproach #coronafreenation #allinonetreatment #covid_19 #coronafreeindia #coronafree https://www.instagram.com/p/COJqdHsHwSg/?igshid=999infa2q99c
What does it mean to be healthy? Should we settle on the idea that health is the a state of complete physical, and social well being and not merely an absence of disease? Many health professionals view the body as something that needs “fixing” when broken and that disease is often found on the physical level; the person as a whole is not considered. The notion that good health is equivalent to a high level of physical functioning is simply incomplete. From a holistic perspective, the mental/emotional and social state of a person as well as their physical state are important when it comes to good health. Moreover, preventative measures as they relate to good health simply cannot be measured; they are essential. The World Health Organization has moved towards a more dynamic model of health that presents it as a process; an intricate balance on the physical, mental and spiritual levels in order to be able to achieve a higher purpose. "The extent to which an individual or group is able to realize aspirations and satisfy needs, and to change or cope with the environment. Health is a resource for everyday life, not the objective of living; it is a positive concept, emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities." OCHP What are your thoughts?
