The Host Uses It Too…
So now we have another effective advertising technique and I aptly named this section “They Use It too”! In this scenario, the host of a radio show or news show of some kind when doing a commercial for a particular product tells the audience that they have used the product or service as well.
They talk highly about the product and this serves to foster credibility especially if the talk show host, guest or celebrity, has a good following and the individual already has a good reputation. Taking ownership of the product and pushing the product means that you are vouching for the product. You are giving it a thumbs up and that goes a long way at helping people to try the new product or service for the first time. Examples of people that “use it too” would be Joe Piscopo who tells everyone he loves and uses the “My Pillow” pillow.
Other talk show hosts tell how they have used certain pain relief products. and other ex radio host John Gambling who used to talk highly about the aluminum house siding company that did such a great job for him. Other well known hosts talk about pain relief products, tax advisors and so on. This can help a new company with a new product or service quickly make up ground and foster name recognition and wide spread exposure.
