Searching Thunder Caves

As quickly as Jane appeared to speak to Gunnar she left. Jane still had much to speak about with him but felt now wasn't the time or place. Rapidly, Jane ran towards the town's borders to meet up with Simon and they both set out for Thunder Cave what would be in there wasn't known but perhaps a clue. People she knew went missing, people she somewhat cared for.
Looking at the mountains as they traveled Jane slowed down. "This is going to take a while. Simon!" she called out. "Transform into a flying type to get us there quicker." With out a second thought he transformed into a Ninjask and latched onto Janes back. Noticing this Jane leaps and lets Simon quickly lead her to the mountains.
As they neared some of the peaks Jane tells Simon to stop and hover for a moment as she notices a bit of yellow splotches in places. Lowering closer Jane noticed they were swarms of Joltik. Taking caution Jane tells Simon to land a bit away from the splotches.
"That must be where we need to go." Jane points towards a large cave opening. "Simon, I want to you change into a Swoobat and give me a rough size of the cave." Once again Simon changes without hesitation he does so. "It's quite the size mistress. It could take a while to search everything." Simon explains. "Stick close, and change into a Excadrill. Stay underground and let me know if you feel anything." almost before Jane finished the sentence Simon had already done so.
The cave was silent, unaturally silent. Jane advanced slowly getting her surroundings. They were searching the caves for quite a while with no signs of anything and the caves were getting darker the further they progressed. "Simon up here." Jane said followed by Simon bursting out of the ground looking slightly confused. "Yes Mistress?" He said. "Simon, turn into a pokemon that can use flash, we could use a bit of light." As she finished her sentence Simon changed into a Ninjask again and lit up the cave.
As the cave got lit up Jane noticed a bit of scorch marks on the walls around them. "Something went down here." Jane said. "Simon honedge form." She said as Simon changed. Jane quickly took the hilt of the sword as she stuck her bone in the loop in her scarf. The more they ventured into the cave the more scorch marks there were. They continued deeper and deeper into the cave until they reached a turn. Jane inched closer to the edge of the turn to peek but as she did something happened, rocks appeared out of the walls and zoomed towards Jane rapidly. Not noticing the rocks right away they bombarded her and Simon. "Someone set a trap..." Jane coughed as she stood up. "Be on alert, keep your ears open."
They continue around the corner for a bit more wondering what set the trap. "That was a pretty strong stealth rock, one of the strongest I've seen yet. " Simon explained. Jane was worried, that trap was a well hidden one and there may be more. Looking down the tunnel there was a strange formation which looked unnatural. Upon further inspection the wall was created, recently at that. Jane poked a small hole in the wall to look inside.
The interior of the fake room was decently lit, there was a weird formation in the room which looked like it was keeping something in place, it was tough to make out at this distance but there was a orange-ish color. Removing her face from the hole she made she looked at Simon, who was still a honedge, she requested him to change back into a Excadrill and open the door. Simon obeys and uses Drill Rush to break down the wall. Jane rushes in and sees the colors she saw earlier. It was a pokemon, large and fluffy and it looked injured. Rushing over Jane is quickly stopped by a large pokemon clad in silver and green, with 3 tendrils holding it up off the ground.
Leaping back a few steps and as she does a swarm of Zubat and Golbat appear behind her blocking her exit. "Crap." She says before shouting towards Simon "Simon, defensive form" he immediately changes into a Aegislash, Jane grabs the Shield and Simon wraps both of his tassels around Jane letting her wield him. While facing the Ferrothorn Jane tells Simon to use Shadow sneak and take out the weaker pokemon. Obeying, their shadow extends over the swarms of Zubat and Golbat. The Golbat notices this and zooms in closer towards Jane and Simon as the Zubat are unaware of what is about to happen as the shadow's beneth them grow and swipe them down. Taking notice to the downed bats Jane leaps over to them while using Bulldoze knocking them back a bit.
As she was turning back to face the other pokemon she noticed the Ferrothorn was preparing an attack acting quickly she uses the move Fling while holding the Aegislash's shield while Simon started to glow as he used Swords Dance. Moments before the shield would have connected with the Ferrothorn one of the Golbat flew infront of it and used Protect deflecting the shield back. Jane knew the Golbat would be a problem, at the same time that Ferrothorn was preparing something. Jane started to rush towards the group of Golbat to take them down but got knocked back by a combined attack of Air Cutter. Jane may have the type advantage but they had numbers. Quickly thinking she let go of Simon and let him fight on his own as she drew her Bone. Spinning it over her head she then grabs the stick with both her hands and readies her assault.
Simon was preparing on his own, he had changed forms from the Aegislash back to Excadrill feeling he could get the advantage in this form. As he began to use Hone Claws one of the Golbats charged at him but was batted away by Jane as she used Bone Rush, followed up by a Fling tossing her bone at the Golbat as it was knocked away. Quickly running to recover her bone Jane slid as a Focus blast from Simon flew over her head connecting once more with the Golbat she had knocked back. Recovering her bone she shoves the bottom of the bone staff into the ground launching her into the air to meet up with another Golbat. About to hit it, she was once more, she knocked out of the air by a power flashing light. It connected with her and sent her flying into Simon. Jane looked back at the Ferrothorn who was setting up a wall of Stealth Rocks behind the Golbat.
"Simon, I want you to change into another me and we need to work on taking out those bats quick. We can't take many more of those attacks." Simon sat there for a moment. "Mistress, you said never to do that unless things were bad." Jane immediately looked at Simon and hits him with her. "What do you think this is? It could be bad if we let things progress. That Mirror Shot was powerful." Simon reluctantly changes into her. Both of them, now ready to lead another assault quickly rushed towards them again. "Simon, distract!" Jane shouted as Simon used double team, masking the two of them among the many. The Golbat, in a panic, began using Air Cutter rapidly to narrow the numbers but by the time all of them were gone Jane was already in one of there faces while Simon was behind the other. As the two Golbat were dealt with Jane and Simon turn to the Ferrothorn who looked like it was backing up. Jane, not forgetting he had just set up a Stealth Rock trap grabs one of the Golbat's and tosses it over towards it, activating the trap. "Simon advance" she ordered as Simon rushed over using Bone Rush but was immediatly met with a Power Whip sending him flying back. "SIMON!" Jane shouted as she turned back to see how far he went. Turning back she her self was about to meet a Power Whip but she managed to drop to the ground quick enough and hit the tendril with her stick knocking it into the ceiling. The Ferrothorn using that to his advantage he swung with the tendril in the ceiling and used his other two to use Power Whip. Connecting with Jane sending her into the side of the cave. Jane sat in the corner of the cave, hurt.
Simon started to get back up and noticed how close the Ferrothorn was to Jane, he quickly changed into a Fire type and tried to use flamethrower but as he started to spew his fire the Ferrothorn was right next to him, he had used Rock Climb while in the cave to increase his speed. Using Power Whip right on the back of Simon's head he changed his form back to a ditto and passed out. The Ferrothorn made it's way back to Jane slowly, setting up Stealth Rock as he went to prevent another ambush. Taking the Marowak with one of the tendrils he started to move back towards the orange fluff ball he was holding captive. Jane ready to take action bit the tendril holding her and leaps off of it, planting her feet on the ceiling just long enough to give her the momentum to use a Bulldoze straight down onto the Ferrothorn, thankfully her skull helm protected her from most of the Iron Barb's effect. Rolling back to recover from such a heavy attack Jane looks back at Simon who was out cold. Taking her bone staff she uses Fling down the hall of Stealth Rock's set up towards Simon, setting off the traps. Turning back towards the Ferrothorn she holds up her hands in a fighting stance ready to fight. Not really being able to do much she can at least inflict mutual damage. Jane zoned in on the Ferrothorn and was about to punch it before she was hit by another Mirror Shot sending her flying back to where Simon was again.
Barely able to stand back up Jane grabs her staff from the ground, it was battered and almost broken but it was still use able, she broke it in half giving her two smaller clubs to use as she charged back down the hall using Bulldoze to gain momentum. The Ferrothorn used Power Whip a few more times but somehow Jane managed to block them with both of her clubs. Closing in quickly she tossed both of them with Fling and clinched her fist. The Ferrothorn didn't have much time to react as it used Rock Climb to move out of the clubs way only to meet up with Jane who had jumped predicting him to move, fist still clenched but looked like it has caught flame. Using Fire Punch she landed a direct hit onto the Ferrothorn sending it flying into the orange fluff breaking what looked like the restraints freeing the Pokemon.
Jane stood there for a moment looking at the pokemon she had rescued/hurt with the flying Ferrothorn, she tried to pick up her bones but stumbled a bit. Noticing the pokemon she rescued step a bit closer to her she realized what type of pokemon it was. It was an Arcanine. The Arcanine kicked the bones towards Jane as it approached her. "About time you came and rescued me. What took you so long?" the pokemon said. Jane looked up with only a smirk. "Well, honestly I wasn't' expecting to find a fire type hidden here. I was looking for someone else but I can't continue. What's your name? I need to report this back to base camp." The fluffy Arcanine was reluctant to give her name but eventually did. "It's Ifrit. Take me to this base camp, I think I may know where the one's you were searching for are." Jane nodded as she picked up Simon who was still knocked out. "It's a while away, care if we hitch a ride? We did just save you." Ifrit was once more reluctant but agreed to the ride.
Being an Arcanine, Ifrit managed to get to base camp really quick. "Thanks, there should be a Jolteon here, I think he went by Kai, look for him." Jane said as they started to head back towards the town.
