Near the end of the day, things were starting to slow down in the store, and Brady was honestly relieved. It was nice to have some down time after all. He was currently on his phone, (something he discouraged his staff from doing during their work hours, but he was the boss after all), looking through amazon for gift ideas for Belle, who was turning twelve in a few weeks. He heard the door open. “Hi there, be with you in just a moment,” he called out to whoever it was, without looking up. He put his phone in his pocket, finally addressing the person. “Anything I can help you find? Oh...” he paused seeing Maggie, uncertain if she was there to shop, or to confront him about the other week when Leanne had hurt herself and well...probably would not have, if not for him. “Maggie? I don’t think I’ve seen you in here before. Have you recently taken an interest in board games?” he said jokingly.

Location: Leanne’s House (Maggie’s birthday)

Patrick was truly upset when his mother had called him to tell him what happened with Maggie. It was a mix of emotion, but mostly anger. Maggie had done a lot of wreckless things over the years, but this took the cake. He couldn’t get past the fact that she had endangered his beloved nieces, just like their mother had done to them years ago. But regardless of how he felt about his sister right now, he couldn’t forget that it was her birthday. She had never forgot about his, after all. Not even during the years he was in New York. he even stopped to get her some flowers and a card, allowing himself to forget for a moment what she had done. His mother had asked him if he could watch the girls for a while to give her a bit of a break. When he arrived, she had just left the house to run some errands and probably take some much needed alone time. He knew how stressed she must have been after dealing with this. When he entered the house, he hugged his nieces extra tight, while fighting back tears and trying not to think about how bad things could have got. He asked them where their mother was and they told him she was upstairs sleeping. Leaving the flowers on the kitchen counter, he went straight upstairs to the room she was in. He knew that she probably was in physical pain and not feeling well, and he wasn’t callous enough not to care. He sat down in empty chair a few feet from the bed. “Glad to see you’re feeling better,” he said, his tone bitter. “Did you have fun last night, Maggie? I hope it was worth it.”

Location: His house

Brady was glad to hear from Maggie that evening. He had spoke to her much since Leanne had come over and confronted him and he worried it might have had something to do with that, but he didn’t put too much thought into it. He had other things on his mind as this time of year was always hard for him. Now that Belle’s birthday was over and he had made it though, he knew he needed to try and go back to his ‘normal’ life, whatever that meant. If he stayed depressed for too long, it only made him want to drink. She had texted him and he waited until he heard her come to the door. He opened it. “Hi.” he said stepping aside to let her in. “Did you really need to sneak over? I thought your mom knew?” he asked her.

Location: Pit Bar (Valentines Day)

Anne-Marie was making her rounds after the writing exercise had finished and people were mostly just mingling and drinking. A lot of rambling over exes and what a better way to get things off of their chest than to share it with a room full of people who could relate. She took a seat next to Maggie, after she had spent some time with both her sister and her mother already. “Well, if this isn’t the best group therapy session, I don’t know what is.” she laughed a little. “I think maybe I’ll start offering wine at all my sessions.” she joked before turning to the woman next top her. “I’m glad you guys came out tonight, Maggie. Your mom and I go way back after all.” she said. “So, how are you enjoying the party?” she asked.
