you liked to talk about your breakfasts but what about your dinners? what do you like to have for dinner?

omg HI ! i will be honest this is a bit like asking degas to paint something other than a ballerina. this is asking me to step beyond my speciality...and i will tell you why. i live in a house of three adults. I am not the primary dinner cook on account of this. and even when I do cook, there are parameters within which I am obliged to operate. WITH THAT SAID. I love cookery I am fascinated by professional cookery and meals and so I offer to you two things : the first is the type of meals I would absolutely cook for dinner if I lived alone. the second is my dinner party menu and then maybe people can tell me if they'd like to come. to my dinner party. OR WHAT THEIR DINNER PARTY MENU WOULD BE ... that would be so fun pls reply + tell me ur dinner party menu. OK let's go

dinner for me is usually always going to be simple and light and low effort where possible. i prefer to eat my larger meals at the start of the day (breathing deeply to avoid talking about breakfast) and i'm a total morning person, so i tend to have a lot less energy by the evenings . if i were to cook evening meals throughout a week there would always be at least one pasta dish..i like to do pasta tray bakes rather a lot (roasting vegetables or prawns/tomatoes/feta and then stirring through freshly cooked pasta) or adding a bunch of fresh ingredients to pasta once it's cooked (crab, lemon, and chilli is a favourite!!) . OR I like a charcuterie....bread + olive oil + vinegar + olives + cured meat + sun-dried tomatoes + capers + pickled onions + cheese !! it's always about Simple for me . On account of I am so sleepy. i also loooove to cook up some kind of broth and eat it throughout the week. like a vat of red Thai curry broth made on Sunday to which i then add whatever fresh veggies, meat, rice, or noodles I have...or a chicken broth to which one might add ramen and spring onions and steamed chicken and ginger and garlic freshly seared in scallion oil.....

now do you all promise to come to my dinner party THIS IS THE MENU .

upon arrival you may have any drink of your choice but i will be doing a specialty cocktail and it will be probably a negroni. because Anthony Bourdain says so and I believe in him and they're sooo good.

starter is for me usually a soup or salad given that it's june we'll do a beautiful burrata with balsamic glaze, lots of quartered cherry tomatoes coated in salt and a drizzle of lemon olive oil..delicious !

fish course is optional and WILL depend on the guests but if you're coming and you'd like a fish course i would love to do seared scallops with chorizo and fresh focaccia....i just think it'd be neat...

for mains there will be two options because I have vegan and vegetarian friends and as such we will have a meat course and a veggie course and they will be so sexy and cool. The centerpiece for the meat course will be chicken roasted on a trivet of vegetables (parsnip, sweet potato, floury white potato, apple, and fresh lemon) which i think I'd flavour with warming but mild curry spices so as to match the veggie centerpiece, which would be a yellow vegetable curry with butter beans and lemon.....and then for the sides we'd do everything vegan but like fresh salad shirazi with lots of sharp red onions, tomato, cucumber, lime and pomegranate seeds....a tumeric rice with courgette ribbons...and maybe if I was feeling fancy I'd do a garam masala vegan cashew cauliflower cheese......and it would be a feast I mean. I'd have to invite 75 people honestly but it would be so fun........and then for dessert I'm firing up the barbeque and we're roasting marshmallows and maybe someone will teach me to make smores bc I've always wanted to do that....and I'd grill peaches with honey and chilli too.......AND THAT. is why I'm not allowed to cook dinner on a random Tuesday. I love you for asking sjdjd
