Anybody else find it interesting how in her character reference for Luke, Lorelai says "I am a single mother" (not "I was") but she is Married to Christopher.
I just think that goes to show how he will never truly be seen as a paternal figure for Rory.
And possibly a fear of abandonment from him, again...
But she describes Luke as "a sort of father figure in my (her) daughter's life"
Because he's more of a father to her than Christopher ever was.
I also think it's interesting that she trusts a man who hid his daughter from her for 2 months and that shes still not over breaking up with, and is hurt from, more than her own husband (rightly so, I light say).
I just think it goes to show how she and Luke were so together and loved eachother, even when their relationship was purely platonic, and how much of a better man he was to her than Christopher.

Studying for my exam in style
I have an exam in a few days in my psychology (development of personality) class...
Because I'm completely bored with the current 'stay at home' situation and my motivation falls below zero, I'm about to share what I find interesting... or disturbing.
I'll start with Freud's psychoanalysis. The guy was a very disturbed genius.
Obviously, we have the well known 3 categories of the mind: Id, ego, and superego.
Each of them interconnected, the id is supposed to be the basis of your personality, but it's unconscious, it's governed by the Pleasure principle. Its irrational and immoral.
The ego is formed on your personal experiences as you grow, it is the only one extended in the conscious and unconscious mind and is governed by the Reality principle. The ego still wants pleasure but realizes that they have to postpone it until there are no more risks.
The superego is basically formed because of your parent's ( caregivers, guardians) standards and it is mostly conscious. It's governed by the Morality principle. This one constantly considers if your behaviors are right or wrong, appropriate or inappropriate.
