I'm still not over the fact that on Anathema Fitz was so terrified of being remembered wrong because no one there actually knew him, terrified of being remembered shallowly and superficially, and terrified of being influenced by the Remote and changing, and also so desperate to reach his friends that he was willing to kill himself in order to ensure some part of who he really was would reach the Doctor and Sam.

And then being proven right as Kode's name literally comes from Compassion's nickname for him, Code-boy, because that was all people really remembered about him.

Versus the Doctor recognising Kode as Fitz just from the way he said one sentence.

Kode is kind of like an AI slop Fitz if you think about it. The approximation of everyone's flawed memories of him. Fed into a machine over and over again, hallucinated differently each time to craft a new caricature of the original. Go my slop Fitz
