you know what's been really difficult and depressing about expressing my identity is unlearning the male social script i was taught growing up and disassociating my attraction to women from the notion that it is rooted in cis-male-het sexual objectification and therefore wrong and bad
i cant even reblog a boob post without this intrusive self-criticism that i'm some gross Dude oggling his bounty of meat
and i feel like i'm supposed to avoid being physically affectionate with femme friends otherwise they might think im creepy or predatory because i was taught that only Girls™ are allowed to be platonically affectionate with other Girls™
idk if im even expressing my feelings very clearly.
i guess what i mean to say is- years of trying to convince myself that i must be a Man due to lack of knowledge of any alternative has conditioned me to impulsively judge my every thought and action as those of a Straight Man™ and it's hard to get over it even tho im not and regardless of my understanding how inherently different my motives and experiences are
