Clumsiest - with @internationalauror
Séverine watched the young Auror looked away, as she kept an eye on him. She took a sip from her Earl Grey tea, before placing her teacup on her table. Honestly, she hadn’t been that nice towards her British Aurors, but with the war going on, she has to make sure everyone is fit and capable to take care of their own. He’s not that clumsy, but he has to know that he’s being watched and it was noticeable on how different he was today.
❝Auror Argyle. Stand down.❞ She muttered, her greenish blue eyes narrowed at the red-head Auror that literally barged in their conversation. While handling William was bearable, the other was a different case. She sighed, walking behind her table. ❝If that is so, Pardon me, Auror Marshall. But make sure in our training later, you’d fix yourself up. In war, being distracted is an advantage to your enemy.❞
❝Auror Argyle, you have to learn to respect your higher officers.❞ She calmly stated, tilting her head to the side as if daring him to question her.
William’s face reddened noticeably. He hated messing up; it wasn’t something that happened very often except where potions were involved, and being reprimanded by a senior Auror only made it worse. Awkwardly, he finished stacking the pile of parchment he’d knocked over and nodded. “I’ll make an effort, ma’am,” he replied, straightening up and stuffing his hands in his pockets. “I’ve just had a couple of things on my mind today. I’ll try to put them aside.”
The scowl on Jason’s face deepened for a moment before he bit his lip and managed to ease it away a little. “I didnae think I was doin’ anythin’ disrespectful,” he said, folding his arms. “Sorry if I gave off that impression.” Many of the other Aurors, whom he knew reasonably well and got along with, were less strict about formality; he was used to laughing and joking with them when there was nothing serious to handle. Maybe it was a French thing, but sometimes Séverine’s attitude just irritated him a bit.
