Ollie & Scoops: Nope. Still kicking!
Now if you don’t know, Ollie & Scoops was an popular internet animation in the late 2010s that has 10 episodes and focuses on the duo of 10-year old Ollie and her lazy but scheming cat Scoopers. The series follows their misadventures with Ollie’s classmates, grownups, and other weird cats.
Well, what happened to the series?
Well, the animation industry exploded. Again, I can’t go into too many details others it will be a rant it would be a very long post. Just look it up and don’t get mad.
With Nico Colaleo (and many others) out of a job, indie animation has taken rise thanks to Murder Drones and the Amazing Digital Circus. Many pilots are joining and many are made by respected and experienced animation professionals. And Nick is deciding to join the indie movement too by the grand return of Ollie and Scoops.
The next 2 episodes will be animatics meaning they won’t be fully animated but with sound effects and voice acting. That doesn’t mean that they will stay animatics forever. If Nico manages to get an higher budget after the animatics come out, they will fully animated in the future.
Speaking of voice acting, both episodes will include guest voice actors that are very. Episode 11 will have Paul Rudd, the creator and voice of Freakazoid, writer of Animaniacs, and the voice of The Director in the show. Episode 12 will the late Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman from the 90s animated series who sadly passed in 2022. Nico recorded voice lines with Kevin while the pandemic was still ongoing and Nico is sad that Kevin’s lines were wasted. I have watched some of the animated Batman when I was a kid and it was cool, so seeing Kevin’s voice even though he is gone would be awesome.
Ollie and Scoops is a very funny show and I am really glad it is getting more episodes. I wish that Nico and the rest of the Ollie and Scoops crew get the funding they need to make the next 2 episodes partially real. Okay, on an partial level, but still better than having nothing.

Stand appearance: A tall and thin figure, has deep crimson skin and is dressed in a black suit and white gloves with the letter P on the back of both gloves also coloured crimson
Abilities: Can create a physical version of any illustration or blueprint (yes, graffiti included). Machinery will always be in working order with the intended use even if there is a mistake in the illustration, and living beings will follow the orders of the user, no matter what. However it cannot draw by itself, so Sir Pentious must either find drawings/illustrations/blueprints or create them himself for his needs.
Quick Reminder, Internet humor reached it’s peak back in 2004, it’s all been downhill from then boys.
(Okay but seriously I still unknowingly quote this masterpiece on a near daily basis and I need everyone to see this, whether for nostalgia or just seeing what the internet was like back in 06 and how far we’ve come.)
