Internet Renaissance - Embracing the Old
i already posted about this, but it didn't do too well, so i'm posting about it again.
Hi, I'm Sage! Are you tired of the overall hate and hostility on the modern internet? missing the days where everyone online was just some other random person online? Well, look no further than the Internet Renaissance! More info under the cut!
I posted about this on my TikTok + SpaceHey, and I'm trying to spread it around. I came up with the idea to start and Internet Renaissance.
Essentially, the idea is to bring back the fun aspects of 2000s-2010s internet, when it wasnt nearly as hostile as it is now. Obviously it wasn't perfect, the early 2000s especially dealt with many issues regarding predators taking advantage of the lack of younger people with an understanding of online safety, but in a day and age where someone will send you your full legal name and address over liking a different flavor of jolly ranchers, I feel like saying "well THAT era had PROBLEMS!" feels like a way of saying "other things have problems, so it's fine to not acknowledge and/or entirely ignore the blatant problems with my thing." Essentially, I wanted to revive the internet culture of the 2000s-2010s- people just being people, regardless of how many followers we have. The whole idea is that we all start doing whatever, as long as it isn't hurting anyone- dress however you want, talk however you want, read whatever you want, watch whatever you want, listen to whatever you want, and post whatever you want- food, music, memes, cats, fashion, whatever you're interested in- without caring who says what about it. If you're just being yourself and you aren't hurting anyone, but someone is still mad at you for it, that means you're doing something right! Most importantly, remember to use the hastag #InternetRenaissance so we can all find each other's content, and make an algorithm filled with positivity and authenticity!! drop a >^•w•^< in the comments or reblogs if you agree and plan to participate!!
Internet Renaissance - Some Updates

folks is it cult leader behavior to tell people we should start to express ourselves harmlessly??
