Don't be afraid to join a discord or to make one yourself. I started out by joining the discord of some randoms who I had played Overwatch with a couple of times and now we're really good friends that had a drunk night on New Years. The server is relatively small, but I also joined others that are far bigger. And considering that I'm the most socially awkward person ever, I think that can be considered really good. ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿ (Like sometimes I still send you asks as anon >_>)

That is really good advice I think that my first attempts on Discord have just been too big?  It’s fine when I’m in one-on-one chats, but the servers I’ve been invited to have been so huge that I get intimidated and never end up saying anything at all because I feel so weird about just inserting myself into an existing conversation, like I’m either interrupting or butting in where I’m not welcome (whether that’s the case or not).  So maybe starting small would be the way to go?  If I started a casual little server, would anyone be interested in joining?  help me i need to practice social skills

I’ve actually been pushing myself to be braver about interacting with people in the past year, sending asks off anon even when it’s an option, etc. I’m still working on the courage to message people out of the blue, but I’m gradually improving, at least!  am i really that intimidating though
