helara was born to a poor family, never given much in regards to food or shelter, living mostly on begging and scraping by. her mother died birthing her, so her father and her older sister held a lot of resentment for her. still, she used her magic, which she developed when she was very young, to help her family make money. she healed and helped her small village, using the only real resources she had — blood. though, when it came time, she was found by the circle of magi, and to escape her sister and father’s judgement and workhorse mentality, she went to the circle of magi where she thrived.
having used her powers so freely in the outside world, it was an adjustment, using non-dark magic in public. still, she gained a talent for quick learning, studying her blood magic in secret still. she studied relentlessly and made sure everyone knew who she was and what she intended to do. she wanted to become first enchanter. thankfully, she’s closer than she’s ever been, and the position is open to her if she can just take it.
she might just have to live up to the dark magics she wields in order to attain the power she seeks. whether the circle likes it or not.
