So, there’s a noticeable trend of folks doing ‘Who am I?’ posts and I figured I could do one for those of ya’ll who don’t know me personally. • • • Here goes the label/identity soup: I’m a polymath, which means I have many interests and skills. I make art, write in a blog and have published a few books, I produce the podcast #EverythingisWorkable and I’m a dharma practitioner/Buddhist philosopher. • • I’m also: non-binary, queer, and woman identified, using xyr/they or she pronouns and really don’t mind when folks call me ‘he’ either. I have both a British colonial heritage and Indigenous heritage, although I personally am afforded unearned access because of my skin colour and have never experienced oppression due to my Indigenous ancestry. I’m originally from the Canada part of Turtle Island, but have dual citizenship with the UK, where I lived for six years. I’m currently an immigrant living in the US. • • • Central to my life and work is my dharma practice. I’m enrolled in the Upaya Zen Center’s Buddhist Chaplaincy training cohort 12 and have started offering teachings on how Buddhist practices are the work of social restoration. • • #introductionmonday #introductions #whoami #gettingtoknowyou #sayhi https://www.instagram.com/p/Bpz3FCyFqvn/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=31p0ldmjpifc
