Ya know what?

Sometimes those people that take longer to get to know, those who don't open up easily or have trouble expressing their emotions, the ones who are a bit more blunt and straightforward than people are comfortable with, the ones that take more energy to befriend, are some of the most loyal, caring friends..

I'm a very empathetic person, and I'm usually pretty quiet (I'm also a weirdo too, lol), so I tend to notice the people on the edges of the groups

I try to get to know them, and, oftentimes, they are friends for life.

They're the kind of people you can just, vibe with, sitting together sharing the silence, or they are the ones you feel safe venting to and visa versa

I recently heard Cavetown's song Lemon Boy, and honestly, it just about makes me cry every time because it makes me think of some of my friends...

I love them so much, and I do my best to make them feel loved

Here's a thing. Introverts. Aren't Antisocials.

Introverts actually enjoy spending time with others just as much as anybody else.

But they also enjoy having their own personal space where they can spend time with themself and "recharge" after spending long hours with other people, because to them it takes up a lot of their energy.

So if one of your introverts friends starts making up "excuses" to not go out with you, it's probably because they're already exhausted from being around poeple for 8 hours straight. (maybe from work or school).

It doesn't always mean that they don't like you or that they're boring people. It's just that they prefer to have fun when they feel ready to spend a large amount of hours socializing. And when they are ready they tend to be one of the most social people in the room.

So please don't assume that introverts just hate people. I believe we all hate people in general.

Introvert Friends

All but two of my friends are introverts. A lot of the introvert problems I see on the internet don’t really apply as much, because my friends have the same problem and we can realize when the other need extreme alone time and understand it. Because we need alone time as well.
