I updated Indirect [Love] Language to include the new interlude I wrote for @superpixie42 's prompt ask. So if you haven't read it before, here it is! The first chapter includes art by the lovely @dreaming-of-soup !

I did this awhile ago for the Inuparents Day banner!

This was inspired by a ukiyo-e print called Lovers Under an Umbrella in the Snow by Suzuki Harunoba

But while that one is very lovey dovey and reflects the whole ai ai gasa (love love umbrella) Japanese symbolism, this one is not so happy. I had the idea that Touga had been away, and Izayoi spots him through the window and runs out into the snow to meet him, only for him to tell her that he must go away again, for much longer this time. Where’s his armour and his fluff? I don’t know, I think the artist was being particularly lazy that day. He’s sad, the armour was too heavy when he’s having a sad...

I’ve got some sketches of both Touga and Izayoi I could share, and a redraw of a previous drawing of a happy family with Inu as a very chubby baby. I might post them later today.

y’know what just crossed my mind? in episode 89 ‘nursing battle of the rival lovers’ when inuyasha collects all of those ingredients for kagome. how he goes searching for demons and gather their body parts...

then says his mother made it for him

like. i understand izayoi probably got them from like...i don’t fuckin’ know. some merchant or something but a part of me is like

imagine izayoi just going full mom mode and kickin’ all of these demon’s asses screaming “HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE A WOMAN WHO’S SON IS SICK”

i just made myself laugh so hard

As I mentioned in this post, this fic has NOT been abandonned. 

Unfortunately, the last update has almost been a year, but the story will continue again this year.
